Lacey Von Erich was really upset over how her interview with the Miami Herald came out. This of course was regarding quotes attributed to her where she inadvertently rips Angelina Love. On her Twitter account late last night, she wrote: "Angelina Love was amazing in The Beautiful People and I hope I do it justice... I think Angelina will be missed in TNA and hope we can work together someday!" Lacey said she was contacting the newspaper to retract her statements. The Herald said they were under the impression she was partly talking in-character when she did the interview but those comments about Love where her exact words.

Rhaka Khan's profile was removed today from the TNA website.

Dixie Carter pushes Bound for Glory at http://tinyurl.com/ydlfh49. She teases Sting leaving here and says his status is unclear after the PPV.

Ric Flair's ex-wife Tiffany went on the Unholy Matrimony radio show this past week and noted she was disappointed that Ric was returning to the ring to wrestle Hulk Hogan in Australia. She said: "The WrestleMania and the Hall of Fame was so unbelievable... it was such a proud moment. No matter what I've been through with him, I was really, really proud to be part of that... It's really unfortunate that he's coming back under these [financial] circumstances, because that should have been the last day he wrestled. Scott Hall/Sid Vicious Round 2

MCW POSTER

----I got word earlier today that the MCW show in Osceola, AR last night had only in the 70 range of people for the second round of Hall/Vicious appearances. It looks like fans came out the first time, but not for a second appearance. Hall/Vicious are in Luxora, AR tonight for MCW and that show should do well.

----So who lost their hair?? MCW was promoting it as Hall vs Vicious with "Loser Loses Hair", but somehow it ended up with POB's Buzzkill losing his hair?? I hate when promotions do stuff like that!! I should have full results sometime early next week.

SteelCityInsider.com has a Q&A with Ben Roethlisberger talking up
Monday's Raw appearance. He said Vince called him to be on the show and
he would know that he is doing today because they are sending him the
script. That's funny because they don't even have Sunday's PPV finished
yet. He said he was a huge WWF fan growing up and some of his favorites
were Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior. On whether he told his coach about
the appearance before hand, he said: "It’s our off day. I talked to him
about it, but I didn’t really ask for permission. I kind of went and
talked to him and got a feel for if he was going to have a big problem
with it. I figured he would tell me. But like I said, it’s our off day.
I want to let everyone know: I’m not coming off any top ropes or
anything. People are freaking out that I’m going to be doing something.
I’m not going to be doing anything crazy, so relax."

The Associated Press covers Roethlisberger's legal issues amid rape
allegations at http://tinyurl.com/yall9nb.

Not sure this is legit but for what it's worth the Canadian band
Thousand Foot Krunch has a new song whch may become the new Smackdown
opening music. You can listen at http://tinyurl.com/yhft5ch. The bands
publicist told us: "As far as I know it is not confirmed yet for WWE".
Not exactly a denial...

Newsday at http://tinyurl.com/ydsoh3a nails the Matt Hardy-Twitter
controversy.

Speaking of which, Hardy was back on the Twitter again last night
claiming that because he was in the main event during recent house shows
this some how means he wasn't de-pushed on television. He also wrote:
"And to whom it concerns (you know who you are) - Thx for giving me what
I was looking for, twice actually. Looks like you ribbed yourself!"
Yeah...

Some on the creative team are sweating right now over The Ultimate
Fighter (Kimbo vs. Roy Nelson) doing a 3.7 rating on Spike beating out
Raw's 3.1 with Rev. Al Sharpton. Mostly worried about the next ride with
Vince on the WWE jet. This was the first time ever TUF trumped Raw in a
television rating.

The Miami Herald at http://tinyurl.com/yal6cew has a story on Lacey Von
Erich. Not sure if she was told to say some of this but she comes off
like a chick from Mean Girls in this article, and totally buries
Angelina Love, even though she admits having never met her. When asked
about replacing Love in The Beautiful People, she said: "I feel like it
was made for me, and she [Angelina] wasn't a good fit for it in my
opinion. I thought that everybody was going to be, 'Oh no. Angelina is
gone,' but not one person said that. Nobody really missed her that much.
I feel like I can fill the shoes that I'm supposed to. TNA told me this
role was made for me, and I feel the same way. So when I met the other
members, Velvet and Madison, they are awesome. When I got there, we all
just felt like we were one group, and the band was completed. I've never
met Angelina before in my life. After what some people have said, I
don't know if I want to. I just feel like we can all be a group together
and shine together, so I'm excited about that.'' Lacey also noted
working on an acting career and that TNA allows her to pursue that
during her off days.

Mick Foley at http://tinyurl.com/yjj3txp was interviewed in today's
Evening Herald in Ireland. A nice piece. The writer wrote of Foley: One
has certain preconceptions before interviewing a professional wrestler.
It's a seriously macho activity, laced with connotations -- often
negative -- and rife with stereotypes. So, when I spoke to Mick Foley, I
didn't expect him to be a highly articulate, whip-smart and an
impeccably well-mannered gentleman.

ASWF and XOW For This Weekend!!

XOW at the Mid-South Fair on Sunday!!

"Midnight Gold" ["The Golden Boy" Greg Anthony/"Beautiful" Bobby Eaton] with Brian Thompson are scheduled for ASWF on Saturday night!!

RassleResults: NBW Newbern, TN 9.26.09

An announcement was made that Jon Michael had been here earlier in the night but had left and it was being reported that he was being rushed to the ER, at which point Mark Justice came to the ring w/ Jon's Championship belt and said He had found this laying on his bag in the dressing room and He had nothing to do w/ Jon Michael not being there!

Stairway to Stardom Qualifying Match
Biscuit vs. Weezy ended in a 10 minute time limit draw, both men advance to Legacy 3

Stairway to Stardom Qualifying Match
Gaylon def. David Andrews and Geno Sydall in a 3-way to advance to Legacy 3

Jeremy Moore came out and stated on the mic that last week he didn't get his tag title rematch and that tonight he wanted to cash in, so he called out The Devils Rejects. Instead of getting who he asked for, none other than Sarge O'Riley came to the ring! Sarge said that CoCo Anderson had sent him out to inform Moore that he would not be getting a rematch as Ricky Andrews has failed to show up and he is strpped of his right to a rematch unless he could beat Sarge. Sarge said that Moore and NBW pushed him and Mickey out the door the week after they won the titles just so Moore could have the spotlight, Now its time for payback.

Sarge def. Moore by DQ after Sarge planted a chain on Moore. Post Match Moore was arguing w/ the ref and Sarge jumped him and Jason Reed made the save to a big pop. The match was then made for next week... Jason Reed and Jeremy Moore vs. The FOP.. As Reed was celebrating, Moore just walked off and left the ring.

CoCo Anderson/A.J. Ray def. Tim Davis/The Kid after CoCo blasted Tim w/ a chain. Anderson is now Commissioner of NBW.

The Devils Rejects def. Special Ed/LSD

The Main Event had to be changed from a 4-way to a Triple Threat due to Jon Michael being attacked. CoCo made the match happen anyhow.

Jason Reed def. Mark Justice and Austin Lane after Reed pinned Justice to win his first Heavyweight Championship in 5 years and first NBW Heavyweight Championship ever!

Good show. 80-90 in the crowd

Legacy 3 card so far.

NBW Championship

Wildfire Tommy Rich and Sir Mo

Stairway to Stardom Ladder Match
Biscuit vs. A.J. Ray vs. Weezy vs. Gaylon vs. ??? vs. ???

More matches announced this week

Credit: nbwreporter

----I hate angles where they say someone is hurt at the ER. It is just stupid, especially when they have sites like mine. Jon Michael worked EWE as mentioned in a previous post...Is Moore turning?? He walks out on Reed?? That could be fun...RRO will be there live for Legacy 3!!

Putting Over: "Girl Candy" Christian Jacobs & EWE Web Site!!

Jon Michael vs Christian Jacobs

----Christian Jacobs could add the moniker "Mr. September" to his gimmick. The last four weeks CJ has been on fire. I first got a call that I should watch the Dell Tucker No DQ from 9.05.09 match. A very good match. Tucker is one of the most underrated and CJ was almost perfect here. Next up was the match at "Super Summer Showdown" with "The Golden Boy" Greg Anthony. Another good solid bout. Next up was an all over the building "Street Fight" with TGB. I would put it up there with the Bishop vs DK match from SSS. And this past weekend, he worked a 35 minute match with "Trendsetter" Jon Michael. A tremendous bout that was as good as babyface vs babyface bout you will ever get. The guys mixed it up a bit also with moves and psychology. Great match!! I would easily consider it a "Match of the Year" candidate. All that said, CJ puts himself in a good position with 3 months left in 2009 for RRO Awards. He could be considered for Match, Most Underrated, Horizon, Most Improved and Tag Team of the Year 2009. He also helps his opponents in the MVP Performer category - Jon Michael and TGB. I predict that 2010 will be the "Year of Candy" as he is right at that point to going from a good solid worker to a great worker.

----I would never have had the chance to see all these bouts if it wasn't for Dustin Williams and the EWE web site. Dustin has been running the site for most of the year. It looks really professional and he also does something that no other promotion in this area - he his the videotographer for EWE and posts every match each week for the fans & workers to watch. CLICK HERE and give it a look. Dustin does a good job and works hard on the site. I would have to give this a nod for nominee for "Site of the Year."

IWA Ratings Report 9.26.09

----There is good news and there is bad news. The show did average ratings. The first two quarters had horrible ratings of .2 and zero. But, the last two quarters picked up the pace with the last quarter finishing better than any other week. They actually ended the show with plus viewers, which was the first time this happened. There was more good news as Memphis Wrestling didn't air, but IWA up to this point had not beat them, even when they aired infomercials. They did this week! The informercials only retained 33% of the viewers scoring .3 [4859 viewers].

----I think the story of the upcoming 3-hour wrestling block, when XOW joins the herd on 10.10.09, will be whether Memphis Wrestling will continue to air or not?? Will the show finally die?? Can XOW and IWA take the place and present live events building around their TV??

IWA TV Report 9.26.09

----I am still running a little late on these reports. Ratings will be up late tonight or early tomorrow morning.

----ANT [Amazing Natural Talent] comes out for an interview with the US Title. He talks about “Fall Out”. But, that show was the night before. ANT vs Eldrick Hines. No psychology. I like ANT, but he needs to learn how to work as a heel. ANT beats him with a powerbomb. Carnage Antwane walked out after the match.

----Precious vs Malik “The Great” is next. 3 minutes before the actually locked up. Good hold for hold to start out. Precious tries to slap Malik’s ass. Three dropkicks from Malik. Precious to floor – Malik flying over the top rope to floor. Heat starts outside the ring. Sends him in the ring and flips over the top rope onto him. Flying press hot spot from Malik. Closeline to cut him off. Standing moonsault from Precious. Perfect psychology. Punches to Malik in corner to “Stone Cold” stomps. Flying headscissors from Malik followed by Pele kick. Standing hurracanrana. Precious cuts him off and goes for a moonsault. Both of them down – DKO. Near fall. Malik with a missile dropkick – sloppy. Malik misses a flying closeline. Precious slips on the ropes. Malik jumps over the top rope again. Match falls apart here and get real sloppy. Precious uses a foreign object to lose by DQ. Sniper runs out. Reno Diamond comes out and sends him back into the ring to get beat up by Sniper/Malik.

----Next up – “Full Scale Assault” [Xander Raines & Jason Steele] & Cryme vs “SnS” [Syn & Stunner] & Suicide. Cryme and Suicide start it out. Good fun series of moves from these two. Syn with Steele next – good dropkicks from Syn. Raines then comes in to to work Stunner. Stunner hit a dropkick and I didn’t know if Raines was going to get up or not. LOL Pretty standing suplex from Raines to Stunner – heat starts – Steele then on Stunner. Stunner messes up a move and somehow is coming out of heat. Can you say?? Say it with me…..NO PSYCHOLOGY!! Start of heat again [not sure you could call this double heat..lol] on Syn. Cryme misses a frogsplash and Syn goes for hot tag to Stunner and Suicide. Spinebuster from Raines to Stunner. They did a tower in the corner for no reason. Syn pinned Raines for the win. Heels beat babys up after match. Not good.

----Carnage Antwane vs the debuting RRO Gimmick of the Year 2008 Winner: “The Baron” Malkavain. Announcers keep calling him “The Vampire” – that just cracked me up. They exchange punches with Malkavain not selling. Antwane closelines him over the top rope and Baron lands on his feet. Heat with three big punches with Antwane selling good. CA already coming out of heat. Say it with me…NO PSYCHOLOGY!! This got slow and sloppy. Baron flips into the turnbuckle just hanging there as Antwane runs for him. Baron with a flying kick into the corner. Big legdrop from Baron. Baron with flying bodypress from top rope. Sidewalk slam from Antwane. Punches and big boot. ANT distracts him and Baron hits “Nail in the Coffin” to get win. Last part was good.

----Main event: Cymba & Armageddon with Victor Reed vs "The Asylum" [Psycho & Pappy]. This could be bad. Everyone in the ring. Armo no sells and then hits a big boot on Pappy. Big boot on Psycho. Armo/Psycho in the ring with Cymba/Pappy outside the ring. Armo does a good job in the Lord Humongous role. Armo bodyslams Psycho!! Armo with another big boot to Psycho. Psycho finally making a comeback. Swinging side kick to Armo’s head. [yes…pretty good from a big guy] Psycho with splash and then Armo with a closeline sending him back down. Psycho makes another comeback with flying elbow, but Armo doesn’t go down as Psycho bumps flat on his ass. Psycho with a “Starr Struck” and Armo gets up. Armo belly to belly on Psycho. [yes..I said that]. Double countout with Armo/Psycho out of the ring. Just a brawl. Fun spots with Armo/Psycho, but not a great match.

NOTES

----They got to get these shows in proper date order – not have a show talking about “Fall Out” as if it is coming this week, when it happened the night before…Sound was much better this week and seem to be “mic’ed” into the camera. Good to see them improving, but I had to listen to that “GAWD AWLFUL” Jason Hall. It is like he is screaming into the mic!! He makes me miss Corey Maclin and Reggie B Fine…They make note that Precious fired Officer Hudson…Why would you use Malkavain as a heel?? The popularity of vampires right now – he can ONLY be a baby!!! He should have been featured in a squash bout…They need a second camera. And, if they do have a big show, then show clips of the results and then offer the DVD for sale!! Drop me an e-mail – RRO has a professional set up for that!! [shameless plug]…Not a great show – 3 out of the 4 bouts had no psychology. I will give it to Baron/CA for trying and the main event was designed to just be a brawl. Overall Precious keeps having the best matches on the show.

Wayne's World "Growing Up In Wrestling" by "3G" Eric Wayne

----I billed him as "one of 2009's most controversial personalities." He brings with him the "kick that was heard around the world" and the "Randy Orton incident." Eric Wayne joins the growing staff of RRO with his bi-weekly column Wayne's World.

Hello, and welcome to Wayne's World. Yeah, its not original but who really cares? I talked to Brian Tramel recently and came to the conclusion that maybe, just maybe, I can contribute to this website a little something that might be of interest to some of the readers. But, what qualifies me to write for a website when I haven't even been wrestling for an entire three years yet? The answer to that is simple, I've grown up in the wrestling business since 1986.

This brings us to the topic of my first column, growing up in the business of wrestling. For those that don't know, my grandfather is wrestler turned promoter Buddy Wayne and his son is my father, Ken Wayne. So there is my pedigree(no HHH jokes) and the reason I'm a wrestler today. I can remember goin to different towns since I was about 7 years old. Setting up the ring, chairs, working the concession stand, taking ring jackets and everthing in between. I always enjoyed going out of town and being in the locker room and couldn't WAIT til I was the one walking to the ring to cheers, boos, or a mixed reaction lol. I grew up around guys like Bill Dundee, Jerry Lawler, Billy Travis, Flash Flanagan, Motley Cruz, Don Bass, PG-13(one of my favorite tag teams), King Cobra, Downtown Bruno, Koko B. Ware, Brian Christopher, Doug Gilbert and many more. I can remember going to Puerto Rico with my dad when I was 9 years old and realizing how different it was compared to the shows I had been to before!

But before I ever spent the summer in Puerto Rico(and slept in two chairs I pushed together in the office on tv days) there is one moment that gives me goosebumps just writing about that told me "THIS is what I'm meant to do." I wish I could remember the town we were in but I will never forget what happened.

I was maybe 8 or so, very young, and had the chance to be involved in Jerry Lawler's match against the Spellbinder. Nothing big, but it was a big deal to me. I always used to bug my dad to be involved in the show, even carrying what I called my gear to shows in case they needed a midget to wrestle, because ya always have to be prepared! Anyway it became a normal thing for me to take everyones ring jackets and such to the back after the introductions, except this one particular night. The idea was that Jerry would tell me not to take Spellbinder's stuff and of course, Spell would get upset. This led to him chasing me around the ring only to be cut off by Lawler. Match starts and I go to the back. Now towards the end I came back out while Lawler is being dominated to cheer him on and the people went crazy! Or so it seemed, I was a little kid. So I slowly walk towards the ring with people surrounding me and Spell points at me saying I'm next. And what happens? He turns around to a recovered Jerry Lawler who promptly rolls him up for the win! The place erupted! It was then that I knew this wouldn't be the last time I ever did anything like this...and it hasn't been by a long shot!

Growing up in this business hasn't always been the most fun but at times it was a blast. Hell, I'm still growing up in this business and learning more every time I'm out there but nothing compares to the experiences I've had in the years before I started training...but that's another column for another day!

My World - MAXXED OUT!! "That's Never Gonna Hold" by Maxx Corbin

We never claimed to be architects but we knew just from the look of it that it just wasn’t gonna hold. Sure it looked cool, it even had and old school look to it. But, it wasn’t gonna hold. The “it” we were referring to was a 16 x 16 foot structure made of wood and …..well wood. That was it. And we knew….it wasn’t gonna hold!

This story sometimes gets looked over when we think about our time in that organization (I‘ll call it that instead of saying the abbreviation, that reads like tea whiff). At the time, there was a lot of drama and crap going on. So we weren’t too happy about being in Brownsville that night. We had moved on and given our notice to the company, we were done working for that organization. This was our last night there, and when we were given a choice at where we wanted to work for the night (tea whiff was running a show in 2 towns that night, Brownsville and Jackson) we choose Brownsville. (later we would be accused of no showing Jackson, but I won’t go into that now.) The atmosphere already was better when we walked into the armory than it was in Jackson. But we were uneasy. We knew they had to get the belts off us but we weren’t going to let them screw with us like they had been doing. So, we were in defense mode from the start.

We walk into the main area where the ring was and that’s when we saw it. We had been wondering for weeks what ring we would use. The douche bag who used to come with his, hard ass ring, had had one of many falling outs with the company and wasn’t going to show up. We could have cared less about that but it still made us question, “What ring are we going use?” The question was now answered. There it sat the all wood ring. At first glance it looked sturdy. There was even a wrestler named Spyder doing flip bumps on it off the top rope. We started examining this new ring and that’s when we noticed a problem. The ring had 3 braces. 3 long strips of metal that were about an inch wide and 1/8 of an inch thick and 2 layers of ply wood. We told Spyder to bump off the ropes again and we watched the ring. When the 245lbs Spyder bumped, the metal looked like it was going to break. We both looked at each other worried. We knew right then that this ring was screwed. It was built with the best intentions, but weight wasn’t taken into consideration. The guy that brought the ring was adamant that the ring would be fine. He even told us to get in there and try it out. So, we got in the ring. I took a big back bump and was surprised that the ring was still standing. I was lying in the center of the ring and Myles hits the ropes and walks towards me and the ring starts cracking. We decided we’d get out ASAP. We told the guy when he got back what happened and he assured us it was fine.

So, now on to worrying about the match. When we looked, we saw we were working a skinny little guy and a slightly chunky guy in overalls and we were going over, which was weird. We were leaving as their tag champs....ok...lol. For the life of me I could not tell you what these guys' names were. Neither of them should have been near a ring though. We knew this was our "punishment" for leaving. Tea whiff was kinda big on "punishment". They also had us as the opening match. I assume they thought this was punishment too, but the opening match is what sets the tone with the entire night. And boy, were we about to set the tone. We start the match and try to work with the guys and get nowhere. So we just took over. What can you do, right? We weren't being stiff, but we just couldn't give them anything and make it look good or believable. The ring at this point was holding on ok. I felt it give way too much though and didn't feel to good about being in there. I tagged out to Myles. I watched as the ring bowed under him and the opponent. I just knew it was going to collapse....but it didn't. "Huh, maybe the guy was right," I thought to myself. I tagged back in and felt better about being in there. If it held up for Myles I should be ok too. So we go for a few more minutes and I tell Myles we gotta go home. We tried to let the poor guys get some heat but it just wasn't happening. It was time to go home. Our move at the time was a combination Boston crab, leg drop. I hooked the Boston Crab, and Myles dropped a leg on the back of the guy's head. It looked real devastating. Since the ring has held up the whole match, I figure we'll be fine to hit this move. Hell, we were even told to "Not hold back" because the ring "Needed to be tested." So as Myles comes running in with the leg drop I can slowly feel the ring start buckling. It's not the normal ring vibrations either. Myles jumps and in that split second I knew the ring was about to fail the "test". I closed my eyes and waited to find myself on a concrete floor, hopefully uninjured. I hear Myles land BOOOBBBB CRACK, SNAP, POP!!! The crowds reaction was like a Japanese crowd as they let out an "OHHHHHHH". I still had not opened my eyes yet, but the fact that I wasn't hurt made me think that maybe the ring was fine. I opened my eyes and said "Nope, we just broke this fucking ring." I couldn't even see the fans around the ring. We had sunk in the ring so far that we were only about a foot or so from the ground. The only thing holding us up was the ring canvas. I, literally, climbed back to the corner. All I could think / keep saying was "Oh my god, we just broke this fucking ring!" They spent 40 minutes trying to put it back together. 40 minutes! Can you believe a 40 minute intermission? And no, Derrick wasn't running the show...lol. They're just lucky those 8 people watching didn't leave. Else, we might not have gotten our dvd PO that night.

Food For Thought - "Brotherhood" by Jamie Jay

Hello everyone. First off I would like to congrat my fellow co-workers on their recent WWE shot. Congrats to Danny B., Pokerface, Dustin Starr, & Austin Lane!

Now, about the title, BrotherHood? Well, where I come from this business is supposed to be about brotherhood. Wrestling is like any other secret society, were supposed to be there for each other. I hate to bring up some of the other secret societys, such as, KKK, Masonites, Ariel Nation, also gangs, Crips, Bloods, Vice Lords! I know that is a little off track but it still has something to do with the story. We as wrestlers are supposed to be there for each other. Protect each other. Holding someones life in the palm of you' re hand, that is what were doing. So, we become close, closer than family in some situations.

What am I getting at? Well, I had my son's Birthday party Sat. 9/26/09 This has been planned for awhile. I was going to put on a wrestling show, not for fans, not for money, but for the pure enjoyment of my son. A Birthday present for my son. Something that I knew he would enjoy & remember for years to come. I set this show up at my grandmothers place. I told all the workers a month in advance, but they could still work that night because it would be over by 4! I didn't ask alot of workers, just a few, & ones that wouldn't have to drive far. I sent out numerous text messages to fellow workers, almost all ignored! How great is that? Brothers in this business? The ones you're supposed to protect?

So, yes I'm upset! If somebody asked me, let me rephrase that, If my brother asked me to come work a show for there child I would be there. But, you know what? I still have a couple of brothers out there! Austin Lane was there! Ron Rage & his son was there! Lily Willingham, mine & Austin's publicist, was there to take pictures of the days event! Jimmy Star was there! Johnny Morton was there at 11:00 o'clock that morning & setup his 6,000 dollar sound system that he hauled from the other side of Memphis with a tarp on because of the rain. They helped make my son's Birthday a Great one! I thank each & everyone of you that I mentioned & I love you, Brothers!!!

Just remember who your brothers are. Thank them each chance you get. They are the one's protecting you & making you look like a star! This is where I usually say "Here's you something to chew on!", but I'm still chewing on it myself...........

Our show would start as is does every week with Commissioner Rowland calling local kids to hold the flag during the playing of our National Anthem.

Before the show could get started, Demon X would come out with his confidant, Johnny Hawk. Hawk would taunt the crowd with a fishing pole that had a candy bar attached to it, saying he was fishing for fat women. At one point Demon X and Hawk would state that if you didn't brush your teeth you wouldn't get anywhere in life. So they squirted toothpaste all over an unsuspecting fan. After their round of fun, Beautiful Bobby Eaton and Brian Thompson would take to the ring. But they wouldn't be alone for long as LSD would challenge them to a couple of matches. The Commissioner would set it in stone, Cody Only vs Demon X for the ASWF Title and Deadly Dale and Idol Bane against Bobby Eaton and a mystery partner.

The first match to get under way was The Leader of the POB Ron Rage against Sanch Libre. Rage would tear Libre apart. He would plant his finisher and win the match. He stated that he was here for someone else and that everytime he went to a promotion where "he" was at "he" would sneak out the back door. And tonight he was going to get his once and for all.

The second match of the night was ASWF Original The Enforver vs The King of Newark Seth Sabor. Seth would come off on a great start and would take control early. But his control of the match would be short lived. The Enforcer, who had a chain hid, would strike Sabor with the chain followed by a low blow. The Enforcer would low blow Sabor and get the win via pinfall.

Tonight's third match of the night was The Irish Dragon Scott Fury taking on Joshua Cross. Both superstars would be hard keep up with. Fury who is one to stay on the match with his opponent would have a tough time with the high flyer Joshua Cross. But Fury would clip Cross's wings and pin him after his failed moonsault.

The forth match of the night was Demon X vs Cody Only for the ASWF Title. Cody would dominate the match showing Demon X who the true champion should be. Demon X would somehow make a comeback and begin to take the heat to Cody Only. Demon X would roll Only up for the pin.

The Semi-Main Event would be The Establishment's X-Kaliber/Tommy Wanye/Cody Murdoch/Cason McClain/Athena Eclipse against Christopher Lee/Mark Wolf/Morgan Williams. Tommy and Mark would start this bout with blood pumping. Wayne would make a tag to Murdoch when he started to lose control and the Big Rig would take Wolf to his knees. Things would begin to look grim. X-Kaliber would plant the Sword and Stone and tag in Athena Eclipse. Athena would then Chokeslam Morgan Williams and get the pin winning the match for The Establishment.

The Main-Event was a tag team match between Hot Rod John Ellison/Beautiful Bobby Eaton vs Deadly Dale and Idol Bane. LSD would be the powerhouse in the first part of the match. Showing the old school the way to wrestle. But, Eaton and Ellison would cheat behind the referee and show LSD how the old school does it. Dale would finally make a tag to Idol after a lengthy beating. Idol would take control and pin Hot Rod for the 1, 2, 3.

----Opening segment went about 30 minutes. WTF??...Also not sure why it was not mentioned, and it was mentioned on their youtube.com site, but Ron Rage attacked Scott Fury sometime in the night and left him laying.

Alan Steele and Kid Nikels

Tonight's show was incredible, match after match was pulse pounding with excitement. The referee tonight would be Downtown Bruno with John Steele and T-Bone Terrence Ward announcing.

Just as the first match was about to get underway, "All That" Alan Steele would go to the announcer's table and state that he saw the card tonight and was not going to team up with Kid Nickels. T-Bone would then tell Alan that Ken Wayne had already spoke with him and to tell Alan Steele that if he did not tag with Nickels he would not get his match on October 9th. Steele would be outraged and leave with not quite knowing what to say.

Tonight's opening match would be Kolby Stern taking on the returning Scott Fury. Scott would take control of the match early giving the young blood, Kolby Stern, a lesson in technical wrestling. Just as Fury seemed to have the match in the bag, Stern would try and make a quick recovery. However in his haste, Fury would roll him up and get the 1, 2, 3.
Time: 5:53

The second match of the night was sceduled for a tag team match. Justin "The Juice" Smart would team up with Mike Anthony to take on Kevin Charles and "Dangerous" Dan Matthews. Smart would start off with control over Charles. But, early in the match Matthews would use up his teams two alloted saves. Smart would be on the fast track to victory, but would hurt his knee trying to counter Charles. Matthews would then be tagged in and would smell blood. Matthews would eventually tag Charles back in and it seemed Smart would be out of the match and one less victory. But in a ray of hope for Smart he would build up enough energy to tag in his partner Mike Anthony. Anthony would start cleaning house and finally pin Charles for the win.
Time: 8:22

Tonight's third match was from a challenge last week. Matt Justyce would take on the returning Shawn Reed, who was out on an injury. Both wrestlers would try to get control early on in the match but both would fail. Reed would catch Justyce off guard and roll him up for the pin.
Time: 3:41

The Main-Event was what everyone was waiting for. "The Human Highlight Reel" Austin Lane and "3G" Eric Wayne would go mano y mano with "All That" Alan Steele and Kid Nikels. Before the match even got in the ring Steele and Nikels would argue coming to the ring, in the ring, and during the match. Steele would start off with Wayne, but would soon tag in his partner Kid Nikels. Nikels would be on a roll, taking control over Lane, after his tag to Eric Wayne. Lane would be able to get a little control back from Kid and secure him in a submission hold but it would not last for long. He would escape Lanes hold and Nikels would go for the pin, but Steele would pull Nikels off of Lane. During that argument Lane was able to make a tag to his partner Wayne would would not be standing for very long. During this heat of the battle Wayne would get knocked out by Nikels. But yet again Nikels would push Steele's buttons by using his finisher. After that Steele would leave his partner out to dry. But Steele would return but with Josh Carney in his clutches. Austin would be able to take advantage of the situation and pin Nikels. Steele would then get in the ring and begin to belittle Kid.

The young kid Boss really worked well tonite with Rodney...this kid has really good heat to only have been wrestling for a little while! Angeleena and Jazz have two different exchanges which last about 3 to 4 minutes of their own...Angel-Leena is really good in the ring and is def the best young womans wrestler ive seen around here in a while..Man Jazz hasnt lost a step! Jazz showed Angel-Leena tonite why she is the former WWE Womens Champion and a legend in this business...Rodney and Ron go back in forth until both Jazz and Angel-Leena end up back and forth with Jazz power-slamming Angel-Leena for the 1-2-3.

Memphis Wrestling TV Update!!

----I would like to correct myself. "Lawler for Mayor" was listed on 9.19.09 and the following aired. I thought they did not air any wrestling, but RIOTer Tim Cousar was nice enough to send in the following. Cousar also sent me along a note yesterday saying, "Lawler for Mayor," channel 50 showed two half-hour infomercials: one for "Shortcuts to Internet Millions" and one for the Rosetta Stone language software. So, out of the past three weeks, Memphis Wrestling has only aired once. This is just an opportunity being opened if they can continue to produce a show. IWA and XOW could easily become two companies perceived as Memphis Wrestling.

This is the match order for the 9/19 show on channel 50. Matches are from the Delta Fair Show except for the last "From the Vault" match:
Tatt2 defeated JD Fox--that's what Corey calls him
Johnny Dotson beat Derrick King
Kevin White beat Humongous [Gary Nations] when someone else came in and hit Humongous from behind
Mr Hughes speaks in the ring
Bobby Eaton, subbing for Koko Ware, beat Mr Hughes
Dutch Mantell speaks in the ring about Lawler running for mayor. Lawler comes in and speaks.
Brian Christopher beat Dutch Mantell
In an old TV5 studio match, Lawler beat a young and trim, brown-haired Bobby Eaton by DQ when Duke Myers and Jim Cornette jumped in. Hart was in Eaton's corner here. - there was a commercial break during the match.

During the show, they kept running ads for the Delta Fair, which ended 6 days before this show aired. At the end of the show, there was a message saying the show was paid for by "Lawler for Mayor."

RassleResults: EWE Ripley, TN 9.26.09

Around 80 fans file in to enjoy some EWE action tonight in Ripley, Tennessee.

EWE owner Dustin Baker makes his way to the ring to announce that tonight begins a fresh start for Elite Wrestling Entertainment. And to help wipe the slate clean, Baker and Commissioner Chris O'Neal came up with the Lethal Lottery. Tonight, every match will be randomly drawn and the winners of each match will be entered in a tournament for the chance to be the number 1 contender for the EWE Heavyweight Championship currently held by Dustin "Five" Starr. Baker reaches in and selects the first two contenders.

"The Bluesman" Ike Tucker def. Rockin' Randy via pinfall, making Tucker the first entry in the tournament for the EWE Heavyweight Championship.

The next drawing puts the tag team of "The Real Deal" Tim Edwards and Big Red against each other. The two threaten to walk out of the ring and not compete, but Dustin Baker tells the two that the two will wrestle and there will be a winner. Edwards tells Big Red that he will lay down so he can advance in the tournament. Edwards lays down and Big Red goes for a pin, but Edwards rolls Big Red for the pinfall, earning him the tournament spot. After the match, Edwards tries to talk to Big Red, but Red attacks Edwards, sending him outside the ring and up the ramp.

Tommy Redneck def. Rude via pinfall.

Derrick King makes his way to the ring to address the crowd after a short video presentation airs on the big screen, but is cut off. King says that he is going to expose this town, this company, and everyone behind EWE for who they really are. King says that everything that is EWE is his, including the building, the ring, the lights, the audio equipment, everything. He says that J.C. White is the biggest crook and everyone knows it. He says that there would be no Super Summer Showdown, no Mayhem, no Thanksgiving Throwdown, no J.C. White, no nothing without Derrick King. King says that Dustin Baker wouldn't be where he is, the announcer wouldn't have a job, and even the camera man wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. King says that next week, he's taking the ring, the lights, and everything else with him and the era of Derrick King Entertainment will begin. The crowd chants "Stan Lee!" as King starts arguing with fans in the crowd. At one point, King approaches J.C. White and challenges him to step into the ring, but White tells King to step down out of the ring. White tells King to leave the building, but just heads to the back.

Bishop def. J.R. Manson via pinfall.

The next two names drawn to face each other are "Girl Candy" Christian Jacobs and "The Trendsetter" Jon Michael. The two walk around the ring and talk with each other, but shake hands and begin the match. Before the match began, a time limit of 15 minutes was set, just like every other match tonight. After 15 minutes, there still was no winner and just as the announcer was ready to call the match, Dustin Baker says that the match will continue for another 10 minutes so that a winner can be determined. After 10 minutes, there still was not a winner declared, so Baker gave the two men another 5 minutes. Both men are knocked out to the arena floor, where both of them are counted out and the match is called as no contest. Neither Christian Jacobs or Jon Michael will advance to the EWE Heavyweight Championship tournament.

"The Canadian Dragon" Cody Melton def. Tatt2 via pinfall.

"Dynamite" Seth Knight def. "The Future" Dell Tucker via pinfall.

Shannon Lee comes to the ring as he is picked for the main event. The other wrestler named as his opponent is Derrick King. He makes his way to the ring and makes his way around ringside, arguing with fans and issuing challenges. A few heated exchanges lead to some bottle and shoe throwing, table shoving, and even some chair flipping before King enters the ring. At one point, it looks like pure mayhem ringside as King jumps into the ring. View the entire event by going to the website at www.elitewrestlingentertainment.com and clicking the "Shannon Lee vs. Derrick King" match. Some images may be graphic and viewer discresion is advised. In the end, it would be Derrick King scoring the pinfall over Shannon Lee after delivering a massive superkick. King says that if everyone thinks tonight was something, then just wait until next week to see what he'll do.

SIDE NOTE: Just before the bell was set to ring to start the match between Shannon Lee and Derrick King, an EWE security guard named Will suffered a seizure at ringside. The video of the match was stopped. Will was taken to a local hospital, but his condition is not known at this time. Please monitor www.elitewrestlingentertainment.com for the latest updates on Will's condition. The entire EWE staff would like to send our prayers to Will and his family and wish him a fast recovery.

----I was told the DK-JC angle was well done. But..look at the crowd number - the turn is not drawing any extra...It looked like a fun show - I am going to have to watch the Jon Michael vs Christian Jacobs bout!! And the Melton vs Tatt2 bout should have been real good.
