WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT

5/11 NXT TV results from Buffalo, NY: Michael Tarver and Daniel Bryan were eliminated; Wade Barrett over Heath Slater; Skip Sheffield over Darren Young; David Otunga over Justin Gabriel; and Skip Sheffield was also eliminated. The big story is that Bryan Danielson is alive and well.

Superstars tonight on WGN has Chris Masters vs. Dolph Ziggler; Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer vs. job guys; Vladimir Kozlov vs. another job guy; and The Bella Twins vs. Maryse & Jillian Hall.

Smackdown on Friday night has Kofi Kingston vs. Christian for the IC title; Shad Gaspard vs. job guy; MVP & JTG vs. The Dudebusters; Beth Phoenix vs. Rosa Mendes; Chavo Guerrero vs. Kane; and CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio; plus Drew McIntyre returns with a surprise for Teddy Long.

WWE tours Canada this weekend with the Raw crew in Barrie, ONT on Friday, Kingston on Saturday, London on Sunday, and television is live next Monday from Toronto. The Smackdown crew runs Halifax, NS on Saturday, Moncton (1pm) and Saint John, NB (7pm) is a double shot on Sunday, and the TV tapings are next Tuesday in Ottawa. John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus and the Hart Dynasty headline the Raw tour with Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Jack Swagger and Christian the biggest names advertised on Smackdown. Fans are safe as Jericho is gigging in the UK with his band Fozzy.

WWE confirmed that Jared Bartie, Executive VP of General Counsel, has left the company amid allegations of sexual harassment. Corporate Counsel, part of the American Lawyer family of magazines, posted a story on its website quoting a WWE statement released to them, which stated, Bartie "was not terminated by WWE. Jared Bartie and WWE have parted ways amicably. James Langham is acting general counsel for WWE." So they don't deny the allegations, but do deny Bartie departed due to the allegations.

Claire Murphy, who headed up WWE's UK office, has left the company and moved back to her native Australia. She was brought in to take a hard line stance with media in the wake of the Chris Benoit murder-suicide, but ended up alienating much of the UK press. The Daily Mirror newspaper stopped covering pro wrestling completely - and I know from my own experience doing interviews for The Sun at how nit-picking they could be if they felt talent were off-message. She is the second high-profile departure from the UK office, following Andrew Whitaker - who left for the U.S. to take over Shane McMahon's old role. Insiders say she'll be greatly missed by many in the company.

Beth Phoenix, who claimed she was fine after getting injured last week, was diagnosed with a partially torn knee. The injury occurred during a match with Rosa Mendes at the 4/27 tapings in Hershey. She is expected to be out for some time. They taped an angle earlier this week to explain her being sidelined which airs tomorrow night on Smackdown.

Dave Finlay is still working behind the scenes as an agent, but there are no plans for him to return to TV any time soon. Vince thinks he's too old now and wants to push younger guys. The funny thing is, even at 52 he's one of the best workers on the roster, but being a good worker isn't a top priority in 2010. Finlay has been active in the business since 1974 and has worked for a major company since the mid 90s. Both his father and his grandfathers were professional wrestlers, and his sister was a referee. Filmmakers from Ireland recently completed a documentary called The Fit Finlays’ which is about the history of wrestling in Ireland. The film, funded by Broadcast Authority Ireland, follows the story of the Finlay family from touring Northern Ireland in the 1950s and 60s to headlining in front of millions of fans as part of WWE. Producer Ronan McCloskey shot footage with the Finlay family both in Ireland and in America and also with some of their old adversaries such as Mad Monk Rasputin (Johnny Howard), Kung Fu (Eddie Hamill) and El Bandito (Orig Williams)--who died late last year. They filmed at Williams' funeral which included a reunion of veteran British wrestling stars. One section of the film documents some amazing stories about life on the road – wrestling by day and partying all night. The release date is still TBA.

I was sent a copy of the latest WWE comic book. Its the June issue with Triple H on the cover, who apparently died in the last issue. Quite a few inside references. The current storyline is that terrorists have taken over Wrestlemania and are holding everyone hostage. Vince McMahon is forced by the heels to read a list of demands, which includes season tickets to the Lakers. I swear I'm not making this up. The Undertaker is portrayed as the locker room leader who deals with internal drama. In one fight scene, Big Show, who is portrayed as a goof, takes a chair shot to the head. And Randy Orton tries to hit-on Mickie James, but she is rescued by John Cena. So, not very PG, but quite realistic. You can find out more about WWE Comics at www.wwecomics.com.

In his latest Facebook blog, Bret Hart revealed he learned about his US title match next week from his son Blade. He said he didn't mind and life is good... Also, a correction from the last newsletter. It was actually Bret's oldest daughter Jade, not Alexandra, who just gave birth to Bret's granddaughter Kyra Beans Hart Doenz. Mother and baby are said to be doing great.

Triple H (Paul Levesque) and Stephanie McMahon-Levesque are listed as part of a lawsuit by a company called Music City Coach for an unpaid bill of $216,666.66 in a deal with Star City Coach for modifications to the family's coach bus. The bus was customized so the whole family can be on the road together.

The WWE website has an update on JJ Dillon at http://tinyurl.com/38pxu77. Dillon, 67, noted he now resides in Delaware where he works for the department of corrections as a corrections officer. Although the money was great at the time, he says he was miserable working for WCW in 1997. He buries Eric Bischoff: "I was the one person who could expose him for somebody who knew absolutely nothing about the wrestling business. Instead of tapping into me as a resource, he went around me." He said he predicted the demise of the company a long time before anyone else. "I knew what was going to happen, but nobody wanted to listen. They looked at me like I was crazy." Sounds familiar. He also talks about recently surviving a prostate cancer scare. "They caught it very early so all my options were open. I've had two blood tests and I'm cancer free," he said.

WWE issued a press release on beating the NBA and NBC amongst others for website traffic in March. WWE.com did 14.3 million unique visitors and 32.6 million video streams for the month.

Raw on Monday night did a 3.1 rating and 4.4 million viewers. NXT on Tuesday night did a 0.8 and 1 million viewers.

Maryse' Judo instructor on Raw was Northeast indy wrestler, Kekoa the Flyin' Hawaiian.

John Cena now has Twitter @WWEJCena. Most of the top guys are being encouraged to get on Twitter and promote the product.

Florida Championship Wrestling will hold a talent evaluation clinic from July 30-August 2... Dusty Rhodes, out of retirement, teams with sons Cody Rhodes and Goldust at the FCW show on July 9. More information at www.fcwwrestling.info.

David Otunga is going on house show duty soon to get some experience. That, and the fact he's on more money than anyone else in developmental due to his somewhat celebrity status.

ESPN's Page 2 interviewed Maria Menounos and briefly discussed her WWE ambitions at http://tinyurl.com/3all82f. "I want to be a WWE champion. I want to do UFC. I want to do roller derby. I want to be a ninja," she said. "I want to live life to the absolute fullest."

The Sun at www.the-sun.co.uk/wrestling has a story with quotes from Chris Jericho talking about his love for music. When asked about his WWE future, he said, "I think now is the time to stay for a couple of years to help those around me. I want to help the young talent."

Jericho is on the cover of the new issue of Revolver Magazine and hosts the Revolver Golden Gods awards on VH-1 Classic later this month.

The WWE stock took a hit yesterday, closing at $16.42, down nearly $1 or 5 percent, and was listed as the No. 5 worst stock on the NYSE, on a day when the market was up. Analysts blamed declining revenue. The financial report last week showed profit had increased, but most of that was due to cost cutting.

Linda McMahon's campaign through her spokesman Ed Patru fired back at Rob Simmons over the article earlier this week in the Manchester Journal Inquirer--the one where they brought up how much money the McMahon family has made in stock dividends: "Linda has created nearly 600 jobs in Connecticut and her company has been an enormous tax base for the state... Simmons' strength isn't in creating jobs. It's in handing out taxpayer-funded checks and federal pork to people and then patting himself on the back for a job well done. I think before he gives small business owners any more lectures, he should remember that it's job creators like Linda that have made it possible for Rob Simmons to be a career politician with government pensions."

TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION WRESTLING

Impact tonight back first-run on Thursday nights has Rob Van Dam vs. AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy in a non-title match; Rob Terry vs. Abyss; Orlando Jordan vs. Tomko; Douglas Williams vs. Brian Kendrick; The Machine Guns vs. Team 3D vs. Beer Money vs. Ink, Inc. in a four-way; Matt Morgan & TBA vs. Generation Me; and Tara vs. Taylor Wilde.

TNA runs tonight in Springfield, IL and Friday in Hammond, IN with RVD vs. Styles vs. Hardy in a three-way; Jeff Jarrett vs. Mr. Anderson; The Beautiful People vs. Taylor Wilde & Sarita; Desmond Wolfe vs. Abyss; Beer Money vs. Ink, Inc; and Kazarian vs. Brian Kendrick.

Sunday is the Sacrifice pay-per-view back in Orlando with RVD vs. Styles for the heavyweight title; Sting vs. Jeff Jarrett; Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy; Matt Morgan & TBA vs. Ink Inc. for the tag titles; Kazarian vs. Douglas Williams for the X-Division title; Desmond Wolfe vs. Abyss in Chelsea vs. WWE Hall of Fame Ring; and Tara vs. Madison Rayne for the Knockouts title. If Tara loses, she leaves the company. If she wins, the company has worked its own locker room.

***

Slam Wrestling has a story on Rob Van Dam at http://tinyurl.com/36orq3n. He says moving to Thursday nights was probably for the best. "Dixie never said, 'Hey, we're going to beat the hell out of them on Monday nights, we're going to take over and own it. She always said, 'We know we're going up against a much bigger company, we're doing this slowly, we're going to try to win battle-by-battle.' She always seemed to have everything in perspective. As long as it didn't put too big of a hole in them financially, I think it was a great move." He added that he loves working for Dixie because she's genuine. "She's not the wrestling expert, she's the one who owns it and would like to make her money back and she's got to trust certain people and listen to the advice of certain people and know who to listen to and that all seems very upfront and right there for everybody to understand." He said he's now Mr. Thursday Night.

Fan House has a Q&A with Abyss at http://tinyurl.com/334pzp2. He said locker room morale is great right now, even after the announcement about moving back to Thursday nights. "There's been a lot of changes since the beginning of the year. And moving to Monday nights I think was a learning process for the company. There was obviously high expectations. As we went along, I think we learned a lot with some focus groups and stuff. We learned that our fans really like us on Thursdays. They really didn't like the Monday night thing. They didn't like having to choose and the back and forth. So, that was something we learned that we maybe didn't know at the beginning of January when we kicked the whole thing off. There's a lot of excitement moving back to Thursday."

Not everyone agrees with the above though. Kurt Angle posted the following comments on his Facebook that have since been removed: "I was upset that TNA is going back to Thursday nights. I know in time we could have had the Monday Night Wars. I have mixed feelings about this. I can’t wait to come back. The Monday Night Wars were one sided, and rightfully so. But TNA deserves an applause for trying. Maybe it was too early, but TNA tried, and TNA will try again when the time is right. Remember WWE wasn't built over night and in time TNA will be right up there."

Angle has told the office that he is ready to return to television next week.

Hogan will be on TMZ's syndicated TV show tonight talking about drinking piss. Seriously.

Hogan's lawsuit against Wells Fargo over inadequate insurance coverage has been moved to US District Court in Tampa, FL, making it a federal case.

Dixie Carter is taping a Kayfabe Commentaries interview tomorrow at the Legends of the Ring convention in Monroe, NJ. Maria Kanellis will be at the event too so its likely their paths will cross. There are a ton of TNA talent and former WWE names coming in including Jeff Hardy, Shannon Moore, Jeff Jarrett, Stevie Richards, Amazing Red, The Beautiful People, SoCal Val, Christy Hemme, and many more. Full details at www.legendsofthering.com.

Betsy Ruth (Mary Kate Duignan) was signed this week. She is a graduate of Team 3D's Wrestling Academy who recently hospitalized Daffney during her tryout match. I know that sounds crazy, but that's what happened. Told she's a nice kid and tries hard.

There is interest in a few different women on the independents right now, although they aren't really hiring. Rayna Von Tosh of SHIMMER is a name that keeps coming up.

One worker has turned down coming in as they were put off by the fact the company hadn't fully covered medical bills of recently injured talents. The company has also been asking workers to provide doctors notes on their own dollar for medical clearance before coming in. These bills are taken care of in WWE.

Shelly Martinez, who sent in raunchy photos to try and get hired, wrote on Twitter that she received an email back saying they weren't interested. Martinez previously worked here as Salinas of LAX, which was an inside joke as Salinas is the surname of Dixie Carter's husband.

Awesome Kong was interviewed on Dave LaGreca's Sirius radio show. She talked about the pay discrepancies between male and female talent in TNA. "Wrestling does appear to be a man's sport and in true tradition, women are traditionally not paid as much as their male counterparts. It (pay) is out of whack. That's why instead of staying, I think everyone should come to a happy workplace and not to poison or be a bad egg, just leave the scene altogether and find something else." She said she's still a free agent and hopes to do more business with ROH in future. "I'm not officially with the company yet, this is like a one night stand type of deal. I have a lot of unfinished business before I can officially join ROH and that is something that I am open to. They take wrestling here very serious.....I would definitely be interested." On changes to the TNA product towards the end of her run: "The product definitely has changed, and since I am a wrestler, and this is pro wrestling for me, I took myself out of that particular product... of that equation, especially since it didn't make sense monetarily."

Homicide found himself in hot water over a radio interview he gave recently. Management confronted him last week, but he claimed he had been misquoted, so they are looking at getting a tape of what he said, which was him questioning who was running the company, because he said he didn't know.

The Star Wars film, Revenge of the Sith, that aired Monday during Impact's old timeslot did a 0.44 rating.

Bubba the Love Sponge has a tryout soon for a daytime talk show on WGN Chicago. If anyone wants to sit in his audience, you can email for printable tickets at chicagotalkshows@gmail.com. The show is being produced by Richard Dominick, formerly of The Jerry Springer Show.

Lilian Garcia wrote a Tweet responding to Mick Foley coming to her defense over jokes Triple H used to make about her appearance. "Mick Foley, this tweet's for you!! I really appreciate your kind words and the compassion you showed in your blog. Your care for my feelings proves what a loving, caring and wonderful human being you are. This is why I truly miss working with you. You are one of a kind!! Thank you, love you!!"

HAPPY 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY RRO!! OVER 3 MILLION HITS!!

----I would like to thank everyone that has ever visited this site or helped me in one way or another. I am still humbled to this day that the site is so popular and that people recognize me in supermarkets because of it. I think I said this on one of the radio shows one time, but this was an idea of mine for a year before it started. Christian Jacobs did his best to talk me out of it. LOL Psycho and Brian Thompson have been on board since Day One and have always gave me my props!! Thanks to Ken Wayne, who was one of the first few "old timers" who gave his "ok" for the site. I thank all four of those guys for their support!! And to all the other guys and gals that come to this site every day and a lot of you have become my best friends [Stacy!!]. I have made a few enemies also...yeah hard to believe some people don't like me; right?? Well, my friend Sarge O'Reilly told me in the very opening days of the site - "Tell them the truth about their matches, don't smooth it over. I would rather know what I did wrong than you kissing my ass saying I had a good match." I have tried to stick by that policy for all the long four years.

----As a special treat for the 4 Year Anniversary day, I have posted the site stats, a link to the first ever post from four years back and photos of various workers in the area putting up the "four horsemen" sign to tribute the four years of RRO. [Thanks to Psycho and Tia for getting those photos for me!!] Also, if you want to send in your photo with the 4 Year sign tribute, I will be posting more of these on Sunday night. Send it today!! Also, on Monday, I will have a HUGE announcement for RRO!! There is going to be a major change going on and it is something that has NEVER happened on this site!!

----Thanks again everyone!! Luv you!!!

Mama Says It Bees That Way Sometimes "Pet Peeves" by Downtown Bruno Lauer

Hello cyber friends!!  Sorry it’s been so long since my last post, but between my job at WWE and NEW responsibilities and having to take care of my home responsibilities [cutting grass, laundry, maintenance] – there’s not much time left over.  But, since I’ve got a few minutes to spare here, I thought I would pass on some of my pet peeves.   You will either give me a nod of agreement or there will be some awkward acknowledgements from those people who behave this way.

When WWE comes to Memphis, don’t automatically assume that just because I work for the WWE and that I may know you, that this entitles you to free tickets.  It doesn’t work that way.  First of all, we make our living by selling tickets, ppvs, etc If we give it away, then we do not make a living.  Make sense??  Yes, I do receive a few comp tickets that I give to family and close friends, but not that many.  Could I come to your job and get free food/car repair/haircuts/healthcare ???

Also those that come up to me with the annoying bullshit of saying they would like to get them tickets, but they don’t mind paying for them are 100% full of SHIT!!  And you know who YOU are!  If you don’t mind paying for them, why the hell are you coming to me??  I am not Ticketmaster!!  Why??  Because you think I will say, “No..No..let me give you free ones!!”  I am not stupid.  That’s why you came to me in the first place!!

Also, NO you cannot come in the back and meet the wrestlers, meet Vince McMahon, have your picture taken with the Divas, etc.  It’s a place of business where a multi-million dollar weekly TV show is being produced – not play time for you and your kids.

I could go on and on for hours about stupid questions I hear on a regular basis!

“Half that wrestling is fake!”

Which half??  That’s my question??

“I saw two guys who just beat the shit out of each other out drinking together after the show.”

This is too stupid to even warrant a response!  After the show, we move on to the next town, go home or whatever.  We don’t have time to go and socialize for the next part.  I have been hearing this for 30 f’n years with variations of it was Lawler  and Dundee [even though they were not hang out buddies anyway and Lawler never drank in his life], Sputnik and Billy Wicks, etc..BULLSHIT!!

What else??  Let’s see…No, I can’t get you autographs!!  I am too busy and so are the WWE superstars.  It’s not something that I want to get a reputation for being a pain in the ass.  NO!!  I can not get you t-shirts, dvds, video games, hats, action figures and those of you lying %#&*#^#^ that say you don’t mind paying for items..then..WHY ASK ME??  Shop Zone – Concession Table!!  Whatever..not me, just grow up.  Thank you and good day to all.

----“Downtown” Bruno Lauer is a legend in Memphis Wrestling. Two time winner of RRO's Referee of the Year 2008 and 2009. He appears bi-weekly with his non controversial column. Lauer had his biography published last year “Wrestling with The Truth” and can be purchased at www.crowbarpress.com. Lauer is also currently employed by the WWE.

RassleResults: NEW West Memphis, AR 5.01.10

-Dan Matthews beat Justin Smart

-Eric Wayne beat Moe Stegall

-Kid Nikels/Cody Murdoch vs Alan Steele/Mike Anthony went to time limit draw.

----This show aired on 5.08.10...This was Moe Stegall's debut bout...Stips on the main event had when you got pinned, you had to get in a small cage. [Like the ones in the old Memphis days]  Murdoch lost a fall, so had to be placed in the the cage until Anthony was pinned and had to be caged for what ended up being the remainder of the match.  Downtown Bruno pretended to lose the key and Anthony sit in the cage for the close of the show. LOL...Chuck Poe and Downtown Bruno refereed...John Steele and T-Bone were the announcers...I did talk with NEW this week and they have decided to start letting us post results as soon as they happen, instead of waiting on them to air.

RassleResults: DCW Jonesboro, AR 5.08.10

Show starts off with the National Anthem as always with Rick Ruby coming out after it is finished..Rick says over the past few weeks a lot of things have happened that he is dissapointed in, but tonight is a good night. He wants to introduce the new "official" DCW Commissioner Jeff Perryman..Perryman comes out to tell Ruby, that the one of the first thigns on my order of business is to take care of the Tejano Kid situation, but since all of the tornado's in and around his home in Texas he could not be here tonight...Ruby says thats ok and tells Perryman that he wants him to take care of it whenever he can and Perryman promises him and the DCW crowd that he will...Perryman says tonight's card will be great, so lets get this show on the road....Angeleena's music hits, but it is Poker Face who comes out instead of her! Poker says that she could not be here tonight, so he is going to face her opponent tonight and Poker calls her out..its Debella! Poker makes this match a NO DQ match, so DeBella will have a chance so Poker says....

Match 1: Poker Face vs DeBella
-match was pretty good..DeBella really can work well in the ring and as always Poker is out-standing..I think Poker is probably one of the best wrestlers I have ever seen that had the full package in the business: talent, charisma, respect for the business, and the ability to work with anyone!! That is saying a lot..match is great and is back and forth with both DeBella and Poker exchanging great moves on each other, but Poker gets ready to hit the Straight Flush but Southside comes out and superkicks him and DeBella gets the 1-2-3..winner via pinfall DeBella!!

Match 2: Chaos vs Southside (Non-title)
-match was great as was their last match together! Even though there is a huge size advantage for Chaos and a huge speed advantage for Southside..both men work really well together in the ring!! Match was going back and forth, but JD Kerry comes in and hits Southside in the head after he hits the superkick and tries to go for the win..winner via DQ Southside!!

Match 3: Mr. Pimptacular vs Ray Leigh
-good to see Ray Leigh back in the Dogg House tonight and he put on a good match with Mr Pimptacular...match goes back and forth in the beginning, but Pimp really gains control late in the match..Pimp reverses a move into the "Hoe-checker" for the 1-2-3..winner via pinfall Mr Pimptacular!!

Match 4: JD Kerry vs Jon Allen
-great match once again..i dont thing these two could have a bad match if they tried and it is almost a shame that no one will get to see it unless you were there in the Dogg House that night..both men put on some spectacular moves and have another all out war..Jon Allen looks to have the match won, but Poker Face comes in and distracts him and Kerry rolls him up for the 1-2-3..winner via pinfall JD Kerry!!

After the match everyone comes in and starts to fight in the ring: Kerry, Allen, Southside,
Mr. Pimptacular, Ray Leigh, and Poker...Allen, Southside, and Leigh clear the ring and Commissioner Perryman says he is sick of all this going on and matches being ruined by other people..so he makes a 6-Man Tag for after intermission Allen, Southside, and Leigh vs Pimp, Poker, and Kerry....

Intermission

Main Event: Jon Allen, Southside, & Ray Leigh vs Poker Face, Pimptacular, and JD Kerry
-match was pretty good from start to finish..all 6 men get to wrestle in the match, but Allen is isolated for about 12-15 minutes in the ring without making a tag..finally Southside comes in the ring and clears house and Allen, Southside, & Leigh get the 1-2-3..winner via pinfall Southside, Allen, and Leight!!

After the match Mr Pimptacular gets some kind of metal stick to choke out Southside in the ring and Perryman tells Pimp that is enough...Perryman leaves the announcer's booth and goes down to the ring and gets in Pimptacular's face and says if he does not quit there will be consequences for his actions...Pimp tells him to stick it!!!! Perryman tells Pimp that he is suspended for a week starting right now and Pimp goes crazy and Kerry & Poker have to restrain him..finally he hits Southside with the "Hoe-Checker" and says I got my weeks worth..then Poker grabs DeBella who escorted Southside's team to the ring and is going to give her another "Straight-Flush" and Perryman hops into the ring and threatens to suspend Poker for a month if he does not leave her alone..finally Poker throws her to the ground and they leave the ring...Southside and Allen have to be helped to the back by security and Perryman after their match.....

Card was good from top to bottom again...great matches and crowd was around a 100 or so!!

Biggest Pop: Jon Allen
Biggest Heat: Poker Face

The Straight Flush "Sacrifices" by Pokerface

Sacrifices- Not sure if I have talked about this before, but it will not hurt to touch on it again. To be a success at anything, sacrifices have to made. Some small, then more times than not, some great. That's just life. If you're not willing to make those sacrifices, you aren't ready to reap the rewards.

In this business that I have chosen, I have given up some things. Nothing that can't be replaced. Honestly if I could go back I really don't think I would change a thing. Well, maybe except having my wrist broken. We often sacrifice time, effort, personal pleasures, and at times emotional peace of mind. But it's a necessary evil. I don't think we, at least on the independent level,  have it at as hard as wrestlers of yesteryear. But it can still be difficult nonetheless. It's emotional draining to scratch and claw to get to the next level and doors are constantly being shut in your face. It's frustrating to drive to a match to perform and make it back home with less in your pocket than what we started with. But that's the life that we've chosen. From personal experience, it's upsetting to be constantly told that you are too small, but yet a guy who is the same size or smaller gets a job.

A lot of us truly dedicated wrestlers for the most part don't have a personal life. Some of us work a job all week, and wrestle on the weekend. Therefore, "me" time is obsolete. We make sacrifices with our body. Overtime most of us move around like we are 20 years older than what we really are. Some of us may feel the need to resort to drugs for various reason. Which also has the potential of taking its toll on us physically. Some of us sacrifice starting a family. To a certain point, I can attest to that. Well I've yet to get married. Mainly because I feel it would hinder me. Some of our families have had to suffer because of our relationship with this business. So not only do we sacrifice, but our love ones also. The family I did have up until last year, I don't feel they really suffered. For years a lot of the times they would be with me on the road. So I can't blame it on the wrestling.

Like I said earlier, some sacrifices have to made. You can't really enjoy the bad times, if you don't know how to deal with the bad times. The sacrifices can help mold us into better, more appreciative performers. We can't have everything given to us on a silver platter. Sometimes you gone have it handed to you wrapped in shit, covered with mud, with a side of maggots. We at times have to sacrifice our pride. We get talked down to, get made fun of, ignored, taken for granted, overworked, underpaid, overlooked, and under appreciated. But like anything in life, once you've fought the war, victory is soooooooooo sweet.
Until next time, keep your pimp hand strong.

Paul Heyman posted an insightful blog at http://tinyurl.com/2vezwsj on former WWE champ Brock Lesnar and his upcoming UFC heavyweight title unification fight against Shane Carwin. He describes Lesnar as one of the best athletes ever who wants to be known in the same light as Muhammed Ali, Wayne Gretsky, Michael Jordan, or Babe Ruth.

WWE executive Jared Bartie (VP of General Counsel) has been suspended for harassing a female co-worker within WWE's sales department, reports author Irv Muchnick. We first heard rumors regarding the suspension of a WWE exec several weeks ago which occurred soon after Wrestlemania weekend. For what its worth, Bartie's bio was abruptly removed last night from WWE's corporate website although the company has not yet confirmed Bartie's departure. "My source said that Jared Bartie, who was described as having been drinking, hit inappropriately on a female accuser who was an executive in the WWE sales department," Muchnick wrote in his blog. "I do not know the length of Bartie’s suspension, or when it was to have begun or ended." Muchnick added that the female accuser was recently fired for allegedly performing a sex act on another subordinate male employee on work premises during business hours.

Today's Manchester Journal Inquirer reported that during the past four years the McMahon family has received an estimated $182 million in corporate dividend payments, and are slated to recevie a further $11 million in June. Linda McMahon's Senate rival Rob Simmons has already jumped on the story noting that Linda as WWE CEO hired lobbyists to secure taxpayer-financed subsidies intended for job creation while firing 10 percent of the company's workforce last year. "While Linda McMahon was handing out pink slips to scores of workers because she claimed the company couldn't afford the $8 million cost, she was siphoning hundreds of millions out of the WWE corporate treasury into her personal bank account through their unusually lavish stock dividend program," wrote the Simmons campaign in a press release. "And to top it off, she was slashing these jobs at the same time she was taking advantage of taxpayers to the tune of millions of dollars in tax credits predicated on job creation. This is just one more devastating arrow in the Democrats' quiver that they would use to expose McMahon as a greedy corporate executive more concerned about accumulating massive wealth and power than she is about protecting jobs and people."

Vickie Guerrero was announced last night as the new Raw GM, taking away power from guest hosts, although at the close of the show she resigned after some intimidation from Randy Orton. Despite that angle, she may be sticking around as creative was surprised with how much heat she recieved from the fans in Pittsburgh. My impression is that she wouldn't be working during the summer while her daughters are on school vacation. Creative does have a couple of other people in mind for the GM role if she takes leave.

The new storyline idea with Ted DiBiase is that he came into a large trust fund from his dad, The Million Dollar Man, and is now using the money to pay off guys to do his bidding. There is real talk of making someone his "Virgil" in the near future.

Buzz Aldrin was confirmed as guest host for next week's commercial free Raw in Toronto. They also announced John Cena vs. Sheamus and The Miz vs. Bret Hart for the U.S. title. The show is billed locally as Bret's Canadian homecoming.

WWE is working on getting actress Betty White, 88, to host Raw following her Saturday Night Live appearance last week which drew SNL's hightest rating in over two years.

The updated line up for the Over the Edge pay-per-view: John Cena vs. Batista in an I quit match for the WWE title; Big Show vs. Jack Swagger for the World title; Chris Jericho & The Miz vs. The Hart Dynasty for the tag titles; Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk in SES pledge vs. Punk's hair; and Edge vs. Randy Orton.

Jim Ross in his blog noted that he was alive and well after tornadoes ripped through Oklahoma and Kansas on Monday. He wrote, "Both our home and the restaurant were unscathed and avoided Mother Nature's wrath. We got a slew of text messages from many of the biz's biggest names this morning which is always nice to receive. Bottom line we are o.k. and thankful that we received no damage or injuries but, unfortunately, some of our fellow Okies weren't so lucky." More musings at www.jrsbarbq.comm/blog.

Fanhouse at http://tinyurl.com/23qdxdn interviewed Maria Kanellis about her WWE release and creative frustrations. "I didn't have a creative outlet. I couldn't do the storylines I wanted to do. I'm auditioning for movie roles and TV shows right now and just the auditions themselves are more creatively fulfilling than what I was able to do because there you sometimes don't get a lot of time to do stuff. For me, it got boring in some sense because you get out there and they take it away and I wanted to do these grandiose storylines and it just never quite happened."

Northeast promoter Tommy Fierro gave notice after recently taking a job in WWE's TV studio. He cited travel issues which was costing him more to get to work than he was making. He didn't mind the travel but blogged that his decision to quit was purely a financial one. "By no means is this WWE's fault. I knew what I was getting myself into before I signed my contract to start there. They are a great company and the people I worked with up there were all great people. I knew what I was getting myself into before I signed my deal, but at the time I didn't care. I thought I would make ends meet someway, somehow. I always did in the past. After waiting seventeen years to get hired by the WWE, I was going to do whatever it took to finally catch my break and work there. I owed it to myself. But like I said, after only a month I realized that this wasn't going to work out." He added that he would continue to promote his ISPW shows in New Jersey and work on his wrestling podcast website.

Bill Apter interviews Roddy Piper at http://tinyurl.com/3y36gul. Piper puts over Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Undertaker and John Cena as the only true franchise players in the business today. He also jokes that if Vince McMahon made him GM he would fire the writers.

Bret Hart's youngest daughter Alexandra just gave birth to a baby girl named Kyra Beans Doenz weighing in at 8lbs 11oz. The baby's middle name comes from Alexandra's nickname, Beans.

There are back to back Smackdown tapings on 7/27 and 7/28 in Corpus Christi and Laredo, TX prior to WWE's tour of Australia and New Zealand.

TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION WRESTLING

Jeff Hardy appeared in court yesterday but his attorney got the trial continued until next month. No other details are available at press time. This is the second time the trial has been delayed.

Desmond Wolfe is running away with the fan voting for who deserves the next heavyweight title shot with 50 percent of the total votes.

People are pushing for Shane Helms and Mike Knox to come in. Helms would almost be a given considering the Carolina connection.

Kurt Angle did an interview with RingTheBellRadio.com. He talked about working a part-time schedule moving forward and said he is keen to sign a new deal. "I don't want to leave wrestling because I love it so much and the wrestling fans are so loyal and I want to keep that fanbase. I don't think I'll leave TNA for quite some time. I want to stay with them and sign a nice long-term deal." He also talked about the company doing strong business in Pittsburgh claiming the steel city does double the TV tapings compared to other markets. "Pittsburgh is a great wrestling city, WWE does really well here and TNA does really well too and we are talking about doing a PPV here the next time we come back and hopefully I’ll be wrestling for the world title." On how TNA house shows differ from WWE shows: "You know, Vince McMahon likes to keep his wrestlers away from the fans. He doesn’t want any fans in his little fantasy world. But I don’t blame Vince for that and that’s not a bad mentality to have. But we have more of a Southern Hospitality. We invite our fans into our locker room, we invite them to meet all of the wrestlers, we let the fans get into the ring if they choose to do so. I think it’s worked really well too, because our (attendance) has been up 30 percent in the past year. I attribute that to how TNA runs the house shows, and the fans really enjoy it. They go home happy, they get all of the wrestlers autographs, they get to take pictures with whoever was in the main event. I think it’s a really great idea and it’s done really well for us."

Eric Bischoff has started doing regular audio segments at www.mondaynightmayhem.com. He put over Rob Van Dam as a great pickup saying that he brings a different vibe and energy to the product. "I hope that change (the heavyweight title switch) is something that resonates with people who might not have otherwise tuned into TNA previously. One of the reasons RVD is here is to expand our audience, and he is clearly a guy that is worthy of being the TNA World Heavyweight Champion." When asked about Jim Ross or Paul Heyman coming in, he claimed he's not talked to either for several months. "Heyman... no idea. But who knows, time will tell. Never say never right?" So, he totally avoided answering that question.

Stars & Stripes has a story on Jesse Neal at http://tinyurl.com/32uspox. The story details his former career in the U.S. Navy and how he survived a suicide bomb attack on his ship which later led to a battle with post-traumatic stress disorder. Dixie Carter is quoted saying that TNA fans have accepted and gravitated towards Neal in a short space of time.

The Coshocton, OH Tribune has a story on Madison Rayne to promote TNA coming to town. She says its great having Hogan and Flair in the locker room: "Sometimes it can be scary for the younger talent when we have the opportunity to work with someone they watched and idolized growing up, because you never know if you're going to get that perfect image of the person you have in your head or a jaded person that has been through a lot... They've come with positive attitudes and have lifted everyone's spirits. They have made themselves seen and heard and available to anybody who needs advice or has a question." BROADCASTER KEVIN KELLY REMEMBERS THE IGLOO

Editor's Note: Kevin Kelly was a WWE announcer and talent scout among other functions from 1996-2003, and is currently the voice of Ring of Honor Internet pay-per-view. He may inadvertently be responsible for the creative direction you see from today's market leader, as he is creator of the Attitude Era storyline that saw Stephanie McMahon marry Triple H, in which later life imitated art.

Closing the “Smellon” Arena--Pittsburgh Memories

I was lucky enough to work at the Sportatorium in Tampa once in 1994. I’ll never forget it. I made sure to memorize as much about that famous building, absorbing the spirits who swirled around me that night. I sat at the same broadcast position as my idol, Gordon Solie and dreamed of going back in time to work with him. Now, it’s a trinket store and I wonder if the new owners realize the history of that famous address.

I never got to work in the Eddie Graham Sports Arena in Orlando but the day they knocked the building down, I took a ride out to see the bulldozers at work. I thought about the history… the consecutive sellouts every Sunday night. I felt the same spirits guiding me.

***

On June 28, 1998, Terry Funk said to me, "Kevin, if he does this, he’ll be the biggest hardcore legend of all time." I said, "What if he doesn’t?" Terry patted me on the arm and slowly walked from the Mellon Arena floor. A sick feeling overcame me as I worried about the destiny of self-destruction that our mutual friend was going to walk with.

Later that night, Mick Foley flew from the top of the steel cell structure and crashed through the Spanish Announce table, landing on the cement floor. Soon, the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh will come down but memories of Mick Foley and countless others will remain forever in the Steel City.

***

Progress is important to American society. It’s important to us that we move on… build it newer, bigger and better. We take from the earth and give back to it. Renewable resources and "green" initiatives… more parking and luxury boxes. Whatever the reasoning, the "old" is coming down and "new" is going up. But in the case of the Mellon Arena, change will be a good thing.

From the minute you’d walk into the Mellon Arena, the smell of deodorized garbage would smack you right in the mouth and it didn’t leave until you left. Like Madison Square Garden…the Mellon Arena wreaks and neither building has a winning NBA team in it. Newer arenas look nice, smell nice… have nice locker rooms. Pittsburgh had a phone that we would make prank calls to. It was named for a regional bank but the Pittsburgh building was always the "Smellon Arena" to me.

Tony Garea (WWE agent and former wrestler) had better things to do than monkey around with us. The man was a tag team champion who had defended his titles in Pittsburgh many times throughout his career. He deserved better but we couldn’t help ourselves. You see, someone got the number to the oddly-placed phone, staring right at us, on the wall backstage of the Mellon Arena.

Once is ok, twice is odd but why is this phone still ringing? Were these the questions that Tony asked himself? I don’t know but I could tell he was getting frustrated when the ringing would miraculously stop just as Garea was about to answer it. I would have loved to have heard what Tony said to the young security guard holding up the wall but I was too busy giggling with my goofy conspirators, who shall remain nameless to protect them from persecution.

***

I first met Eugene in 1997. Not the wrestling character but his namesake and to me, as much a part of my Mellon Arena experience as the smell, prank phone and Mick Foley.

His father brought Eugene to the matches for years. I don’t know how or when but Eugene and his dad would always stop by and visit backstage during the afternoon before the show that night. It’s rumored that Davey Boy Smith once gave Eugene a Soma. It’s rumored that Eugene had a sexual attraction to the Fabulous Moolah. These are allegations and I refuse to either confirm or deny.

But as strange as that sounds, I think both Eugene and his dad liked it. Dad did whatever he could to take care of his son and the smile that Eugene wore was contagious and constant.

***

Mick Foley is a hardcore legend who is synonymous with Mario Lemieux in creating lasting memories on the floor of the Mellon Arena. June 28, 1998, we huddled around the monitor in the TV locker room. Steve Austin paced nervously. Not because he was on next, with Kane in the main event but because Austin knew what Mick was going to do.

No prank calls this night. No playing around with Eugene. Terry Funk’s words swirled around my mind, the West Texas lilt in his voice floated in the upper portion of my ears.

As Mick flew from the top of the cell and nearly killed himself, we all gasped. Steve Austin ran to the Gorilla position, concerned for Mick, hoping to hear that he was ok. Terry Funk and the medical staff went down to ringside but somehow Mick got up. And finished the match…

As we know from history, the worst fall was yet to come, when Mick broke through the top of the cell, landing flat in the ring with a steel chair following down, breaking teeth and knocking Mick out. Terry was right… Mick became the biggest hardcore legend that night in Pittsburgh at the Mellon Arena.

***

When the Mellon Arena is no more, the memories of WWE events will last in the minds of us who were there to live them. While the new building will smell better, have better locker rooms and more luxury boxes, it will be hard to replace the feel of the old building. New memories will be made and new fans will enjoy the shows, but I hope they all hear some of the stories that we have about the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh.

Raw is live tonight from Pittsburgh with Flavor Flav hosting the last ever WWE show at the Mellon Arena before the building is torn down to make way for the new home of the Penguins. The Arena, better known as The Igloo, has played host to numerous WWE events over the years, the most famous of which, arguably is the 1998 King of the Ring where Mick Foley dove off and through the Cell. The only thing announced at press time is John Cena deciding the stipulation for his match against Batista at Over the Limit.

The Smackdown/NXT tapings are Tuesday night in Buffalo.

The bizarre Drew McIntyre firing storyline has a lot of people talking. Nobody internally seems to know the exact situation and my impression is that he's not Raw bound. My guess would be if they needed to write him out for what ever reason (injury, wellness, etc.), then the original storyline was that Vince McMahon hired him, so therefore Vince could show up and over rule Teddy Long.

Lawrence Taylor pleaded not guilty to rape charges following his well publicized arrest last week. His attorney, Arthur Aidala, described Taylor as "a loving family man" who would never have sex with a prostitute. A 16-year-old girl, not named for legal reasons, says she was forced into having sex with Taylor by a pimp, who was also arrested. Taylor is due back in court on 6/10.

John Cena recently passed his 1,000th day as WWE champion putting him on a count on one hand list along with the likes of Bruno Sammartino (4,040 days), Hulk Hogan (2,185 days), Bob Backlund (2,138 days) and Pedro Morales (1,027 days).

Live Audio Wrestling interviewed Jim Ross on a variety of subjects, including the sale of the UWF, the WCW invasion, his stint as head of WWE talent relations, and more. Ross talked about talent relations as being in a position where you are damned if you do, and damned if you don't. He said: "I had one of the most hated roles in professional wrestling as head of talent. You got deliver all the bad news without question and you try to balance it out with good news. But you can deliver bad news without being confrontational or abrasive or power hungry and I would like to think I wasn't that way. I'm sure again in that role it's inherent that people will say 'Jim Ross is a prick' or 'Jim Ross is a jackass' and I'm sure that were guys that played for coaches or people work in film or television for various directors that would say 'he's good guy' I don't believe I was ever a bad guy but I had to deliver a lot of bad news and deal with lots of bad issues and that came with the job and I knew that when I accepted the terms that I had to cut people, you got to fire people, you have to send people to rehab, you have to sit some guys down for mentoring and leadership and whoever has the role after John Laurinaitis will have that. It's like the old deal in NFL training camp when the guy comes to pick up your playbook - they call that guy 'the turk' and when they make cuts in the preseason and turk comes and asks for your play book and says the coach want to see you, well you know you're done and have been cut. I never relished in some of the functionalities of that job but my job was to recruit great people and good young athletes and guys that I could see were going to be contributors and on any team when you make a bad recruit or you the recruit goes bad or they didn't materialize or they developed problems you couldn't solve and you eliminated them and move on. It was a tough job but I enjoyed what we accomplished, I thought our body of work during the mid to late 90's to early 2000s was exemplary. I thought we assembled the best roster in the business and I know for a fact that we drew more money than any period from any territory or any company in the history of the business and I know that we helped manufacture a lot of millionaires so I think at the end of the day I won, I had a lot of wins here so I was happy." Hunter says WWE has now evolved to PG and says he wouldn't let his kids watch the product they produced back during the attitude era, and Stephanie compared Vince to Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels: "Vince would hate that I said this... But he and Lorne Michaels are a lot alike. They both have a clear vision, and they both know exactly how they want you to execute it."

Wrestling is my drug. It's what I love. I grew up in the backseat of a car. I didn't want to be a cowboy. I wanted to wrestle. I went to college and played football. I was with the Kansas City Chiefs. But I had an opportunity to wrestle. And it's been the love of my life." He talked about guys virtually killing themselves in the ring for the love of the sport while querstioning the motives of others. "You watch The Undertaker or Shawn Michaels walk into the ring. They're physically hurt, but they do it. It's the rush you get. It's the same for a lot of guys in the business. They're the true wrestlers. It's in their hearts. For a guy like Hulk Hogan, I think it's the money for him. It's about the bucks." He also talked about his Hall of Fame induction saying he enjoyed the moment, but noted, "if one person doesn't want you in, you're not in. Is that really a true Hall of Fame?"

Fans fought with security at a show where Khali was advertised as appearing. The promoters claimed a no show but Amit Swami, Khali’s spokesman said they notified the promoters 10 days ago that Khali wouldn't be at this event and had also returned a deposit. "Despite that the organisers went on to publicise Khali’s supposed appearance for reasons best known to them," said Swami. There was little crowd control but police eventually came and arrested the promoters for suspected fraud.

Jeff Hardy is back in court this coming week in North Carolina relating to the drugs bust at his home in September, 2009. Jim Cornette spoke out during his weekly podcast over the public firing of Bubba the Love Sponge. He said: "(Bubba) disparages the wrestling fans, calls the product crap, when it is a crappy product, but he was one of the crappiest parts of it, and then knocks the people in the company he hasn’t really known long enough to form an opinion... How can (TNA management) not know that by hiring these type of people who disrespect the wrestling fans, look down their noses at the wrestling business, and say now that it’s beneath them--they bring this guy in and give him television time while other people languish in obscurity that could be the future generation of the wrestling business." You can listen to Cornette's always entertaining and often on the money podcast at http://whosslammingwho.podomatic.com/.

The latest video blog from Scott Hall features Hall and Sean Waltman hanging out at an indie show with former WWE wrestler Ricky Ortiz. Hall jokes that the indie show draws bigger houses than TNA, and then tells Ortiz's opponent that he's spent more money in rehab than he will ever make in his career. Since we got several emails about this, I assume this means he's renewing his wedding vows.

A correction from the last newsletter. The new Hogan grill is promoted as being worth $1,200 but actually costs a lot less than that.

OTHER WRESTLING NEWS

Robert "Kinji" Shibuya passed away last week in East LA at the age of 88. Shibuya was a major star during the 1960s and early 70s. He played a traditional Japanese heel famously teaming with Masa Saito in Roy Shire's San Fransisco and Lebelle's Los Angeles territories where they were billed as cousins. Ironically, Shibuya was originally from Utah, and would often joke that the closest he ever came to Japan was changing planes en route to Australia. He also had a lot of success as a tag team with Mitsu Arakawa. After retirement, he bought a home in Hayward, CA, and was known for farming Koi fish at a local Buddhist Temple.

Dwayne Johnson has been attached to the latest installment of the Fast & The Furious franchise along with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. The working title of the film is Fast Five and would likely star Johnson as the lead cop chasing down the characters played by Diesel and Walker. Pamela Anderson is also rumored for a role.

There was a wrestling convention that bombed this past weekend at the St. Charles, MO Convention Center with the likes of Bob Backlund, Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper, Tommy Rich, Road Warrior Animal, Ted DiBiase Sr., Dory Funk Jr. and many others. Promoter Mike Palermo reportedly gave a speech saying he would be starting a new promotion in Texas that will eventually go national and compete with Vince McMahon. He also some how blamed Vince sabotaging his weekend.

Bruce Hart has a book in the works from ECW Press slated for early 2011.

UFC fighter Tom Lawlor, a pro wrestling fan known for imitating other fighters (especially Dan Severn) during his weigh-ins and octagon entrances, came out looking like Apollo Creed to Living in America for his fight at UFC 113 in Montreal against Canadian Joe Doerksen. Bryan Alverez reported that Lawlor had originally asked UFC officials to use Jacques Rougeau's old Mountie WWF entrance music, but was refused because they felt Rougeau wasn't over anymore in Quebec. Lawlor ended up losing the fight via submission in the second round.

RassleResults: HCW Jackson, TN 5.07.10

West Show Detailed results 5/7/10

Show started with West principal Ricky Catlett welcoming everyone to the show. He then brought out tonight’s guest announcer Ron Lowery. Lowery did the announcing for the Jackson area back when they had Memphis Wrestling at the Armory in the 70’s. He also used to help host a wrestling recap show with Dundee on WBBJ back in the 90’s.

First match

The Albino Rhino defeated Christian Shane in dominate fashion

2nd match

Bones and Black Ice defeated Rude and Patrick Smith after the referee reversed his decision. Rude and Patrick had the match won but the ref discovered a chain and made the reversal.

Before the 3rd match Greg Anthony comes out on the mic and says he’s heard 2 teachers have been bickering the past couple of weeks and that he wanted to settle their differences tonight. He called both teachers (Coach Morris and Mr. Wallace) to the ring. TGB told them that with all the matches that were scheduled for the night that they would have to settle their score some other way than wrestling. TGB offers up and arm wrestling match and both teachers agree. The teachers start of dead even. After a few moments Coach Morris starts to pull out the lead. Just as Morris is about to win TGB throws water in his face and costs him the contest. TGB and Mr. Wallace laugh as they leave the ring. TGB grabs the mic and taunts Morris some more before leaving, but just as he turns around his opponent for the night (Cody Melton) decks him and throws him back in the ring. The match went back and forth for a while and just as TGB looked like he was going to win, Coach Morris came back to ring side and threw water in The Golden Boy’s face, allowing Cody to score the win.

Winner Cody Melton

After Intermission a video played featuring Maxx Corbin’s career from a kid to training to now. At the end of the video he showed a picture of his grandfather and said he passed away in 95 and that tonight he would try to do his grandpa proud and become a champion.

Match 4 HCW Title Match

Christian Jacobs VS Maxx Corbin

Maxx took control early but lost the advantage after an eye poke by CJ. CJ resorted to dirty tactics such as choking Maxx and taunting the crowd. When Maxx finally regained the advantage he was nailed with a spear. CJ went for the cover but Maxx Kicked out at 2 and ½. An irate CJ pushes the ref out of the way and sets up for a 2nd spear. Maxx turns and sidesteps CJ sending him into the turnbuckle. CJ turns back around right into the Black Hole Slam for the 1,2,3.

Winner Maxx Corbin

Match 5

Derrick King VS The Spellbinder

The end of this match saw the Spellbinder accidentally bump the ref. DK uses a foreign object on Spellbinder and makes the caver, but there is no ref. While DK goes to revive the ref Spellbinder pulls a cane out of thin air….literally. DK turns around to see a very angry Spellbinder with a weapon of his own. Spellbinder nails DK with the cane and gets the win. (Side note: the magic cane was very impressive. The crowd seemed amazed as it seemed to just appear.)

Winner Spellbinder

Main Event

Nature Boy Kevin White and Mr. Heximer VS West Middle Principal Ricky Catlett and Brian Christopher

(During a pep rally earlier in the day, Heximer said he was going to show Mr. Catlett the right way to run a school by running him out of town and taking over as principal. Catlett revealed his tag partner for the night (Brian Christopher). Christopher tell all the students that he has been working with Catlett and that tonight the principal will bust heads with his new signature move the DDT)

During the match the crowd was chanting DDT really loud. Catlett (who was actually a former all American Football player) is challenged by Kevin to a blocking drill, which saw Catlett get the better of the exchange. The finish saw Mr. Heximer end up in the ring together alone. Heximer turns and gets caught with a sick DDT. Principal Catlett pins Mr. Heximer for the win.

Winners Brian Christopher and Mr. Catlett.

Show had 400+ in attendance and raised over $1,700 for the school.
