Memphis Wrestling TV Report 7.28.07

----Corey Maclin opens Memphis Wrestling with an interview with "Total Protection" Mr. Hughes - Hughes says he wants competition and threatens to "slap the tar off" Maclin. Mr. Hughes beats Chris Lexx. Hughes gave Lexx a bit. Lexx looks real good putting the big guys over.

----Maclin promoted "The Finale" on August 17, 2007. Maclin says this is the last show of the year at “Sam's Town”?? He also puts over that next week they will be airing "Grand Slam" from AutoZone Park.

----"Too Cool 2" [Tim Grind/Flex] interview with them rapping and singing. Funny. TC2 beat "The Posse" [Lil Chris/Simon Reed] in a real good tag match. Chris was taking heat the whole match until the hot tag to Reed. A few real good hope spots. Match just flowed real good. During the hot tag, Reed had to tag Chris back in because he hurt his leg. Grind knocked Reed off the ring apron and TC2 did their double team driver RKO move on Chris for the pin.

----Kevin White comes out - "I want my Daddy back!!" They show the clip from last week of Spellbinder kidnapping Mr. White. White had a picture of his dad on a milk carton. "The Agents" give away fliers out to the fans. They have a $50,000 award for anyone that can find him. This was funny. Charlie Lear beat Kevin White by COR. White put Lear in the figure four leglock and he was ready to submit, when Spellbinder came out by the curtain. White got out yelling "I want my Daddy back" and The Agents were holding him back and was counted out of the ring.

----"Opening the Vault" with Jerry Lawler/Austin Idol vs Road Warriors. They joined the match right at the hot tag. The teams were both DQ'ed. They did a big pull a part brawl after the match.

----Derrick King/Insane Clowns with Rashard Devon. Devon comes out with baseball gear on and says that the Redbirds need new players since they are so bad. Spellbinder/Tatt2/Dustin Starr beat King/Clowns by DQ. Heat on Starr with hot tag to Spell. Spell ended up chasing DK all over the ring and then Rashard jumped in hitting Tatt2 with a baseball bat for the DQ. The Clowns had a base that they sit right in front of Tatt2 legs as he was in a corner and did a baseball slide right between his legs. Good match. Starr looked good adding suplexs to his repertoire.

----Johnny Rotten interview - not a good interview. Rotten squashed Cameron Valentine. At the front of the match, Valentine hit Rotten with a dropkick that looked to have potatoed him. Rotten then threw a couple of punches to Valentine and Maclin said Rotten had potatoed Valentine because of what he did earlier. Rotten beat him with a chokeslam.

---- Notes: Not sure what the deal is with the August show being the last "Sam's Town" show of the year?? I will try have details of this sometime this week...Have I mentioned that Tim Grind has one of the best bodies here now?? LOL No, I don't have a crush on him, but in the last two months Grind has went from chubby to hardly no body fat...White/Spell angle is very entertaining...Rotten is a big guy, but he has gray hair, which makes him look old. Well, makes him look his age. Maclin/Rotten did good selling Rotten as a monster...This was a good show with two real good matches, but not much building for existing angles . TC2 went to a DCO with Tatt2/Starr last week in a brawl, but did not even touch each other this week?? Johnny Dotson was not even on the show and is suppose to have this feud with DK?? They did further the Mr. White angle and put over Rotten/Vicious/Lawler feud, even though Vicious and Lawler were not there.
