Flashback 2000-2001 "Riot Squad - Justice Family Tree"

----The zine Rasslin Riot folded, I had to have some outlet for my wrestling fix, so I bought Toukon Retsuden 2 for the Playstation. That game was in the PSOne for almost a year. I had tons of created characters and such. I created tons of characters to run storylines and such. The Riot Squad was one of the teams that I created and used on that game. Later on when we decided to team Paul Justice with a wrestler by the name of Justin Cody, I wanted to call them the “Riot Squad”. Justin Cody name was changed to Rick Justice and we had the first incarnation of the team.

----Another video game tidbit that belongs with the “Riot Squad” story - I bought the Japanese version of "No Mercy" [Virtual Pro Wrestling 2] and the converter, so I could play it on my US N64. When I went to create "The Riot Squad", they had these "cut-off" black shirts as an option. I used those on the characters on the game, because the real "Riot Squad" [Paul Justice/Rick Justice] actually wore shirts like that. The characters on the game had American writing on the shirts that said, "Feel The Power", which I have no idea what that meant to Japanese wrestling, but as usual it probably was some weird translation. "Feel The Power" actually became the "Riot Squad" motto that we used on T-shirts and it used still here on the site banner.

----I got ahead of myself a bit, because the “Feel The Power” would come later. The best I can remember and figure out from notes and such, “Precious” Paul Justice and “Rowdy” Rick Justice debuted in July 16, 2000 beating “Total Kaos” [Kade/Viper[Christian Jacobs]]. Neither guy knew what I was going to nickname them until they came out that day, which was a funny rib when you seen the looks on their faces. In February of 2001 “Mysterious” Mark Justice debut. Mark had been wrestling as Mizery and actually made his wrestling debut wearing my old time BT Express mask. Later in the year Mark became “Sexxy Boy” Mark Justice. The three of these guys would form one combination or another with Mark/Paul or Paul/Rick or Rick/Mark doing the gimmick. Paul would later tag with Christian Jacobs as “Sex & Candy” as “Brutally Sexy” Paul Justice. Mark also tagged in a popular tag team in this area as “Pretty Sexxy” with Kilo. Paul and Rick would leave the business and Mark would carry on the name with various other partners. Ms Jennifer would change her name to Jennifer Justice and still works under the Justice name.

----The Justice name was actually thought of by Paul, when he started to wrestle. So we got to credit him for that part. As CCW started up and I booked other promotions like ICW in Malden, MO, there was a lot of the Justice Clan that came out. Here goes the list from the start to now…

Paul Justice
Rick Justice
Mark Justice
Jennifer Justice
Zane Justice [wrestles as Zane Richards now]
JD Justice [only a wrestled a few matches teaming with Zane as “Southern Justice” managed by Jennifer]
Rob Justice [also worked as Ozwick – worked with Mark as “Riot Squad”]
Magnum & Mizery [storyline was that they were both masked Justice Brothers running from the law] form the tag team “Justice Squad”. They were Paul & Mark working against “Total Kaos” in a feud in Arbyrd, MO.
TW Justice [worked with Mark as “Riot Squad” and still works]
Matt Justice [trained by Ken Wayne – debuted this year and most of the Justice brothers were surprised about him. LOL]
Robert Justice [took the Justice gimmick just a few weeks ago]

----I put together a couple of videos for this flashback. The one on top is just a short music video I made featuring pics of some of the Justice clan and the “Riot Squad” music. The music was actually taken from the end of one Pantera song and the start of another one. I think Mark mixed this version of it with the special effects. The second video clip on the bottom here is from 1.27.01 for MSWA in Gibson, TN – “Riot Squad” [Paul/Rick] vs “Total Kaos” [Kade/Viper]. Storyline was that this was the Squad’s last chance at a title shot. It was a No DQ bout and we all five juiced. Jacobs got the best juice that day and ended up with two black eyes from Paul, because he kept telling Paul to bust him open. Rick got very little blood and we ribbed him that he never did even blade. This was a real good match considering the stage they were at in their careers. It really stands the test of time also – I still popped at a few of the spots. There was some psychology in it, but not much. [the match was suppose to be an all out brawl] The match runs about 20 minutes – take time and watch it please. Check out the “Total Kaos” finisher and the spots at the very beginning are fun also.
