----Cory opens the show promising to reveal the new set next week at 10:00 PM. This is the last live show before the time change. He shows the clip of Jerry Lawler piledriving Nate The Rat from two weeks back.
----Show returns with Maclin stating that Nate The Rat was backstage having a meeting. Nate had all the heels around a table talking about getting rid of Jerry Lawler. He was asking them to help him eliminate Lawler. Derrick King said he couldn’t find his partner. [Stan Lee] Nate showed them something in a briefcase [which I am assuming was a bunch of money]. He was trying to get a volunteer when Reggie B Fine walked in. He said he didn’t want anything in the briefcase; he just wanted Lawler because Lawler had messed up his grill. Good segment, except anybody but FINE!!!
----“Cowboys” [Ricky Murdoch/Bill Nasty]/Humongous with Nate beat Hillbilly Jethro/JD McCain/Chris Lexx. Not much of a match as they are still putting over the Cowboys big. JD took the heat and took a good beating. JD slipped, but then dove for the hot tag to Jethro. As usual, Jethro looked great here with the hot tag. They cut him off and he tagged Chris Lexx, which got a pop from the crowd. They cut him off quick with the Cowboy double team move [Nasty holds him in a sidewalk slam as Murdoch does a flying elbow smash], then Huey did a legdrop on him for the pin. Match was sloppy when either Nasty or Murdoch was in the ring. Other than that the match was good.
----“Family of Pain” [Sgt, O’Riley/Mickey Ray] with “Hollywood” Jimmy Blaylock came out for interview. Blaylock talked about the CWA tag team straps that Rodney Grimes/Jerry Lawler hold. Thought it was weird for them talking about another promotion’s tag straps?? Grimes came out from behind the curtains and Jimmy & FOP laughed at him. Everyone laughed at him. LOL He looked real small. O’Riley/Ray beat “Picture Perfect” [John Michael/Chris O’Neal] in a short, but good bout. Crowd is so hot for the PP. Heat on O’Neal with hot tag to Michael. Hollywood distracted the ref as Ray used a cane on Michael with O’Riley pinning him.
----“Insane Clowns” [Mr Giggles/Bobo] with Rashad beat Tatt2/Neil Taylor. Another decent bout. Tatt2 looked real good here. He went for the 169, but Rashad grabbed his legs. Heat on Tatt2 with hot tag to Taylor. Taylor had Giggles in the turnbuckle doing the 10-punch spot, when Bobo hit him with the water pail. Giggles pinned Taylor. Taylor got hardway here and was bleeding.
----Lawler/Renee interview. Lawler talked about beating FOP for the belts. He talks about how they have been doing the manager vs Lawler angle for a long time with him going over all the managers. Renee challenged Nate and did a good job. He also told the story of hitting Fine in the mouth with a baseball bat a long time ago and how he had already paid for his teeth to be fixed. Not sure, but that could have been a shoot.
----Jerry Lawler with Renee beat Reggie B Fine with Nate by DQ. Fine started the heat as soon as he got in the ring throwing powder in Lawler’s face. Lawler pulled the strap down and started the comeback, when Fine cut him off and Nate threw him a baseball bat. Ref called for a DQ and Fine missed hitting Lawler a few times with the bat. Lawler then piledrove Fine. Bout had tons of heat as the fans were chanting “Jerry Jerry!!”.
----“Too Cool 2” [Flex/Tim Grind]/Derrick King/Pokerface [Giggles of the Insane Clowns] interview. TC2 wants the tag straps back and King wanted to know where his partner was?? Poker had a cool headgear thing on. Robert Gibson/Brickhouse Brown/Mr. America/Kevin White then came out to do their part of the interview.
----America/White/Gibson/Brown beat King/Flex/Grind/Poker. Lots of babyface shine here. Everyone looked good, but Flex/White messed up a spot which lead to White taking the heat. Very short heat with hot tag going to America. America sunset flipped King who was trying to hold on. He grabbed ref Jerry Calhoun, who then punched King causing King to be pinned.
----End of the show had Fine come out with a bodyguard holding an envelope marked “Top Secret” and he said it would reveal something next week that would end Lawler’s career. Nate then came out yelling saying he was not done with Lawler either. Maclin ended the show saying it would be 10:00 PM next week and he would be revealing the new set.
FINAL NOTES: The show is moving to 6:00 PM in Jackson and 10:00 PM in Memphis next Saturday…Another huge pop for “Picture Perfect”. Only person the crowd was hotter for was Lawler. They should feud them with FOP…Clowns brought out teddy bears with them and were tearing them up…I have said this before, but Renee is great on the mic. Lawler also did a good job getting over all the angles of the show up until the point of his interview. He can do that in 2 minutes and Maclin takes all the program and never gets them over…Don’t like the angle with King/Calhoun, but at least they are following storylines…If you were a fan and just turned on Memphis Wrestling for the last 3 weeks, you would be crazy not to like it. Last three weeks have been real fun with new faces and storylines.
