----Here is how this is going to work. I will be sending out e-mails to a committee of workers/promoters/writers from this area each week. They will be asked to nominate 5 candidates in each category. They can not nominate themselves. I will narrow it down to 3 candidates per category. Starting on January 1st to midnight on January 10th will be “10 TO VOTE” where all 14 categories – each with 3 candidates - will be presented on one page where everyone will be able to vote. January 14th will be considered the site’s SUPER SUNDAY as I will release all the winners along with a “Yearbook” of facts & figures of 2006 from this area. I will start my review of the year end awards with what I consider the 4 most important awards.
--Wrestler of the Year - Total package, drawing, promos, and in-ring. This is the guy that no matter what promotion you are running, you would like to have him on your card. He is a money maker. This guy does not have to be a great in ring performer, but as a whole he made 2006 in this area.
-- Best Damn Performer of The Year - In-ring exclusively, basically the MVP so to speak. This winner does not have to be drawing crowds or be great on promos. He is just the best damn worker in this area.
--Tag team of The Year - Total package, drawing, promos, and in-ring. This is the team that no matter what promotion you are running, you would like to have them on your card. They are money makers. This team does not have to be a great in ring performer, but as a whole they made 2006 in this area.
--Best Damn Tag Team of the Year - In-ring exclusively, basically the MVP so to speak in the tag team division. This winner does not have to be drawing crowds or be great on promos. They are just the best damn in ring performers in this area. Psychology is a must along with a great variety of moves and being able to wrestle anyone and make them look good.
