----Ok, so I would like to apologize to all the visitors of this site. My sources were a bit confused [first time that has ever happened]. Derrick King DID NOT debut on RAW last night. I repeat Derrick King DID NOT debut on RAW last night. Derrick King’s GIMMICK debuted last night as Shelton Benjamin walked out with blonde hair. As many of you know this has been DK’s gimmick for many years – black guy with blonde hair. No idea what may happen with DK now, since in reality he would be copying Shelton’s gimmick now. You guys know how Vince McMahon is about people copying gimmicks. I could not get any official comment from the DK camp, but my source inside says that DK is a bit disoriented with slurred speech and yelling something about “Meltzer”?? I have also been told that DK has been on the phone with Corey Maclin and they are devising a plan to combat this gimmick theft.
----I would like to also apologize to DK for accusing him of taking steroids. Friends close to DK were distraught and rather pissed at me for implying that DK would ever put anything in his body that would affect his mechanics, psychology, speech, walking ability, friendship, seeing straight or anything close to that. Everyone knows he would NEVER EVER do that.
----I continue to follow this story as it unfolds. I look to update it either late tonight or early in the morning.

Another Photo From Last Night!!
----Here is another picture from last night. I can preach all I want about steroids and such, but as you can see
these local guys do not listen to one thing I say. There is no way that I can honestly say that I know Derrick King took steroids from Saturday morning until last night at RAW. I can not say that. I can not go by hearsay either, because as many of you know, EVERYTHING you read on wrestling web sites are true. [Well, especially this site and that one run out of Mississippi.] PLEASE DK!! Please do your friends and fans a favor here in the Mid South and stay away from the juice. Just take a look at the two photos on this page and as you can tell, this looks like a totally different person.
----Please check back all day long for updates on this story. I hope to be able to talk to DK sometime during the day.

Do You Know Who Johnny Fabulous Is??
----I was actually talking with an area worker when RAW was on last night and he didn't even know this -- John Cena Sr is also known as heel manager Johnny Fabulous in the Northeast indy promotions. WWE is running an angle on their site about Sr being hurt from last night.

BOSTON – After getting punted in the skull by Randy Orton, John Cena’s father was taken to a local medical facility, where he is being kept for observation and will undergo a CAT scan. The WWE Champion accompanied his father to the hospital and has not left his side. Officials say Cena’s father was knocked unconscious during the attack, and suffered a cut above his left eye from the blow of Orton’s boot. He has since regained consciousness.

Bryan Danielson Replaced This Saturday Night!!
----Bryan Danielson has been replaced in the NWA Tournament by Adam Pearce [pictured] for “Saturday Night Main Event” show in Bayamon,
PR this coming Saturday night. Bryan Danielson suffered a small orbital bone fracture in Saturday night's match with Takeshi Morishima and is suffering from retina problems, the latter of which is the bigger potential problem. Danielson seen a specialist yesterday and will be undergoing eye surgery for a detached retina earlier today, putting him out of action for four-to-six weeks. His eye rolled back in his head and he lost vision in his left eye after the match.
----Adam Pearce, who was eliminated in the tournament by Bryan Danielson [winner of the “Jack Brisco” bracket] in the Semi-Finals on August 18, 2007 in Vancouver, BC will replace him. Pearce made his way through the tournament winning the “Harley Race” Bracket beating Aaron Aguliera and Chad Parham to his match with Danielson. Pearce’s opponent will be Brent Albright, who won the Lou Thesz bracket, beating Osamu Nishimura, Fred Sampson and Claudio Castagnoli, who won the “Terry Funk” bracket of the tourney, to advance.
----The NWA World Title lost much of its luster the day the WCW withdrew from NWA recognition in September of 1993. Shane Douglas was the next recognized NWA Champion when he defeated Too Cold Scorpio in August, 1994, but the immediately threw down the belt and ECW was almost born on that night. From this point until early 2002, the title went to guys like Chris Candido, Dan Serven, “Colorado Kid” Mike Rapada. Shin’ya Hashimoto, Steve Corino and Ken Shamrock. I would not say that the above guys were not deserving of the belt, but most of the indy promotions in the US did not feel the NWA Title meant anything.
----TNA took control of the belt in 2002 up until May of this year, when TNA dropped their recognition of the belt. TNA helped give the title some viewership from the fans that watched their PPVs from their birth in Nashville to Christian Cage being their last champion on Spike TV.
----Can the NWA Title regain importance? Not sure, but I was excited when I seen that Bryan Danielson and Brent Albright were headed into the finals for the belt. This is not to take away from Danielson’s replacement, but Danielson is one of the Top 3 guys in the indy scene and may just be #1. So, who do you put the belt on?? It looked as if the NWA were going to making a great decision with Danielson winning the belt over another great wrestler Brent Albright. I look for Albright to beat Pearce Saturday night and that is not too shabby either. Albright will probably be just an interim champion until Danielson gets better. I do know that with Danielson as champ it makes me feel like the NWA Title means something again. I would travel to various places in the US to see Danielson defend the belt vs guys like Albright. The question is will the normal fan ever see it that way again??

RassleResults: TLCW Ripley, TN 8.25.07
THE RESULTS
Seth Knight beat Mark Bravara…Tim Grind won the Battle Royal to name a new #1 Contender for the TLCW Championship…Rockin' Randy beat Rude (New TLCW Extreme Champion)…Tim Grind beat Dustin Starr/Playboy Matt Foley (Handicap Match]…The Posse [Lil Chris/Simon Reed] beat “Hot Topic” [Derrick King/Stan Lee]
NOTES FROM THE SHOW
The Savior made an appearance at the end of the opening match. He attacked Seth Knight, placed him in the corner with a chair over his face, and smashed him with another chair. Seth's motionless body was dragged to the center of the ring as a symbolic sacrifice for the sins of TLCW.
Tim Grind was no fan of Five Starr Unplugged. Just a minute or so into Dustin's version of ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man", Tim Grind cleared the ring.
The final two contestants in the Battle Royal were Tim Grind and Derrick King. The crowd went nuts. Despite being hit with a superkick at one point, Tim was able to eliminate Derrick.
Genocide(Max Corbin, Albino Rhino) came to the ring during Rhythm & Blues' (Brian Steele, Ike Tucker) interview, and said they would give R&B a title shot when they were ready. Genocide appeared to be leaving the ring when they turned an attacked R&B with the tag team belts. Before order could be restored, Genocide injured the legs of both members of R&B.
Chris Lexx apologized to Dell Tucker for his actions last week. Tucker accepted, but as the former tag champs shook hands, Lexx assaulted Tucker. Lexx then sent Tucker head first into the steel ring post. Tucker was left laying with a stream of blood running down his face. Then, Dustin Starr came out and handed Lexx a fist full of dollars. Tucker's injury meant Tim Grind had no tag team partner for the match later. Another Five Starr plan had apparently worked.
Rockin' Randy beat Rude for the Extreme Title, but he did it with help from the outside. Chris Rocker came out of nowhere to attack Rude and cost him the Extreme Title.
The Posse beat Hot Topic by hitting Derrick King with a skateboard. The referee was down at the time and did not see that. This was a wrestling match not a streetfight. Before the match, The Posse added a stipulation that if they won, Hot Topic would be their "bitches."
BT NOTES
----There were about 120 in the audience with a gate close to $720…I was surprised to see Chris Rocker show up here, because he has been working for NBW in Dyerburg…Glad to see Randy with the belt back…Lexx/Tucker sounds good, but a little rushed…Posse/HT feud still seems fun. It will be interesting to see what direction they go in it for now…Tim Grind is now #1 Contender for “The Golden Boy” Greg Anthony’s title. I do not know the direction they are going, but it looks like it will involved a three way of TGB/Grind/Starr…The angle with The Savior looks real good and a bit different. I don’t think Jon Michael is being referred to as “Jon Michael” here –only The Savior, so that is what he will be called in the results.

SummerSlam Live Notes
----I never really try to cover the PPVs – match by match, because is it is just something you see over and over and over, but I thought this was something fun. This was on http://www.pwtorch.com/ from a guy t
hat was there live for SummerSlam last night. I also got to wonder how the crowd can continue to boo Cena?? You can say what you want about him not being the greatest worker or whatever, but this guy as been THE work horse of the WWE in doing promotions, matches and whatever they ask him to do.
-I just got back from the show. I was sitting second row right in front of some rabid fans. Instead of offering the same comments on the matches , I will offer some interesting footnotes I took in from the show.
-I was watching Michael Cole and JBL when the "Cena Sucks" chants started and whenever Orton got in his offense. They were literally shocked, not by the chants but on how much the majority of the crowd ripped into Cena. At one point I saw Cole shaking his head saying "unbelievable." I know Orton may seem like the better "wrestler," but for the life of me I cannot understand why they hate Cena so much. I give him credit; he takes it all in and does the job, I respect his work ethic and the way he sucks up those chants and b.s. big time. I even saw Lillian Garcia shake her head in disbelief as the people in back of me were chanting "Cena must die" and when Orton had a chin lock on Cena they were chanting "break his neck." It's a man thing to hate Cena for some reason because they all were doing it for there own ego. Security confiscated a sign saying "Cena must die" from those same bunch of guys.
-Secondly I felt so freaken bad for Taz and Styles. Jeez, they call one match and sit there for the rest of the night staring into space. Styles really looked unhappy to me. It was really sad.
-Triple H's parents were in the audience and Triple H blew a kiss to them after the match. He was really moved. I was at the first return also at MSG the last time Hunter was injured and there's no comparison that the original at MSG was MUCH louder than this one. In fact, when Austin's music hit the place was deafening .The floor actually shook. It's funny that Austin doesn't even need to actually wrestle, but when that glass breaks in his entrance music, damn, it does something to everyone. But I am very glad to see Triple H finally back, but Austin's ovation was much louder.
-Jim Ross works as hard and definetley sweats as much as the wrestlers do.
-Best moments for me and I say that because the wrestling wasn't anything to write home about
(1) Austin's Entrance
(2) Triple H's return
(3) Steven Regal's dance to Cryme Tyme - I think I peed in my pants. He is hilarious and they should continue to use him in that capacity.
(4)Rey Mysterio's Return
(5) John Cena holding up a sign that said " IF CENA WINS, WE RIOT" in the middle of the ring. Then challenging the whole arena to riot and come to the ring. Like I said, I give the guy credit.

Nick's Passenger May Have Brain Damage
----I was really hoping nothing bad would come out of this story, but it looks like that is not going to happen.
CLEARWATER - The passenger in the car wrecked by Hulk Hogan's son Sunday night returned from Iraq last year and may have suffered brain damage in the crash, his grandmother said this morning.
Speaking from Staten Island, Catherine Graziano said her grandson, John Graziano, 22, was with the U.S. Marines in Iraq.
Her son – Graziano's father, who lives in Dunedin – was nearly incoherent when he told her by telephone of Graziano's condition, she said. She remembered her son saying something to the effect of her grandson may have suffered brain damage.
"He said it doesn't look good," Catherine Graziano said. "He was very incoherent."
"To come home from Iraq and for this to happen," she said before bringing a telephone conversation with a Tampa Tribune reporter to a close. She said she had to work on getting a flight to Florida.
Graziano is in critical condition at Bayfront Medical Center. Meanwhile, Hogan's son, Nicholas Bollea, also known as Nick Hogan, 17, is not listed as a patient any longer at the hospital, a Bayfront spokeswoman said. He is presumed to have been released.
Graziano, whose local address is 1225 Curlew Road in Dunedin, was riding in the front passenger seat of a Toyota Supra driven by Bollea, Clearwater police said.
The Supra "inexplicably" left Court Street on Sunday at 8 p.m. and struck a tree in the median, destroying the car on impact, Clearwater police spokesman Wayne Shelor said. Both of the car's occupants had to be extricated.
"Everything that happened last night was because of excessive speed," Shelor said this morning. "When the car hit, it largely exploded or disintegrated."
No charges have been filed. The investigation into the wreck continues, Shelor said.
This is Bollea's second accident in as many years involving a sports car.
He was driving a yellow Lamborghini when it caught fire in Bay Harbor Islands in Miami in September, according to a report published in the Miami Herald. Bollea was driving the 2001 Lamborghini Diablo VT through a residential area, the report said.
The car caught fire as he was driving, but he got out before it burst into flames, the Herald reported last year.
Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, is popular for his reality show, "Hogan Knows Best," and is one of the Tampa Bay area's best-known celebrities. His children have become celebrities because of the show.
Hogan had moved his family to Miami so his children could pursue acting and singing careers. His daughter, Brooke, has a music career, while Nick's passion is cars, according to a biography on the show's Web site.
On a recent show, Hogan's wife and his children want the wrestling star to get a makeover, making fun of the way the Hulkster dresses. They tell him he has to dress better now that he's living in Miami.
This month, Bollea reported $100,000 in custom jewelry was missing from the family's Miami Beach home, according to news reports. He said someone stole his diamonds. The family recently moved back from Miami to their mansion at 130 Willadel Drive in Belleair.

Bollea Cited Two Weeks Ago!!!
----So, it makes you wonder whether we will see Nick in trouble some more as it looks like it was not an one time thing.
--Wrestler Hulk Hogan's teenage son, who last night crashed his car while apparently racing another vehicle on a Florida street, was cited earlier this month for speeding in a construction zone while workers were present. Nick Bollea, 17, was nabbed August 10 by Pinellas Park police after his 1998 Toyota was recorded going 82 mph is a 45 mph zone. He was also cited for failing to wear a seatbelt. The infractions occurred at about 10:30 AM on a stretch of U.S. Highway 19, the heavily trafficked corridor for north-south travel in Pinellas County. According to the traffic citations, copies of which you'll find below, Bollea is scheduled to appear in a St. Petersburg court on September 10 to answer the speeding charge. According to police, Bollea last night lost control of his Toyota Supra and crashed the vehicle on a Clearwater street. While Bollea was treated at a hospital for his injuries and released, his passenger, 22-year-old John Graziano, remains hospitalized in critical condition. Bollea stars with his father (real name: Terry Bollea) and other family members in "Hogan Knows Best," a VH1 reality show. The Bollea family recently moved to Pinellas County from Miami Beach.

AP Story Confirms Nick Bollea Released From Hospital
CLEARWATER, Fla. - Hulk Hogan's son was released from the hospital Monday, a day after a car crash that critically injured his passenger, authorities said.
A Toyota Supra driven by Hogan's 17-year-old son, Nick Bollea, was traveling at a high rate of speed at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Clearwater Police spokesman Wayne Shelor said. Bollea lost control and hit a raised median. The car flipped around, and the back end hit a palm tree.
Police identified Bollea's passenger as 22-year-old John J. Graziano of Dunedin. He remained in critical condition Monday at Bayfront Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The crash occurred on SR 60, which is a main drag through downtown Clearwater. Alcohol isn't believed to have played a part in the crash. Shelor said the crash remains under investigation.

SummerSlam Notes - Lawler Gets Great Reaction
----It is funny how everyone says that Lawler doing angles like the Booker T angle hurts him. It was reported here that he got the biggest reaction of any the announcers. And, I know this sounds bad, but I thought Swole was dead?? He was the real huge guy that was with Master P; right??
WWE’s Summerslam pre-show meet and greet was originally planned to feature several divas. Instead Jimmy Hart, Cryme Tyme and Matt Striker were at the concession stands. During the PPV, Ron Simmons made his way back there to take photos and greet fans.
Several names were backstage at last night’s Summerslam event, which include Jimmy Snuka, Robert Gibson (WWE developmental trainer), former ROH champion Xavier, famed referee Dick Kroll and former WCW wrestler Teddy Reade (aka Swole from Master P’s No Limit Soldiers stable).
The official attendance for Summerslam was 17,414.
Of all the announcers, Jerry Lawler received the largest crowd reaction.

RassleTube: Classic Interview!! "Waste of Sperm"
----This interview will probably go down as one of funniest in Memphis Wrestling history and infamous because of the things that were said. And, guess what?? Along with all of that, I actually missed Kevin’s punch line and posted that he said, “waste of birth.” Kevin actually said, “A waste of SPERM” talking about Jamie Dundee. I guess that happens when you are watching wrestling with four other people in the room and three of them are kids. I would like to thank Mike Needham for giving me the “head’s up” this morning about it. I had to go back and watch it to see that he actually said that. LOL And, Mr. White is priceless here. His “goofy ass” comment about Jamie got him in some trouble and it seems it surprised some people that he was on the next show at the tapings. Mr. White also says something about “Dundee owing him money”..LOL I think the “infamous” part of the interview is that some of this is true when it comes to the Whites/Dundees, who just might have little bit of REAL heat.
----My apologies to Charlie Chaplin also, because I referred to the imitator as a “Charlie Chan” imitator in the DK angle. I slipped and did a “Maclin” on that one. LOL Thanks to Tim Cousar for pointing that out!!
----My apologies also to the Midnight Express. My only comment about them was “Midnight” looked old. As one of my friends pointed out – “No shit..we all look old!! They won the NWA Tag Team Titles for the first time on February 2, 1986!!!” I guess that did put that statement in prospective.
Nick Bollea Released From Hospital
----Well, just as I typed that I had not heard anything this morning..LOL...http://www.lordsofpain.net/ is reporting the following. Good to hear that Nick is ok and hope his friend comes out of it ok. When I started covering this item last night, it felt much like the Benoit story - news every few hours. We have had so many terrible things happen in wrestling this year, I always think the worse.
