WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT

10/28 Superstars TV results: Mark Henry over Jey Uso; Zack Ryder over Tyson Kidd; MVP over Curt Hawkins; and Tyler Reks over Chris Masters.

WWE starts it's weekend with a dual-brand fan appreciation show in Hartford, CT on Saturday. This includes a special appearance from Triple H; Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett; Kane vs. Big Show; Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio; Dolph Ziggler vs. the winner of a battle royal; and Maryse, Kelly Kelly and Layla. The Raw crew then runs Saturday afternoon in Montreal while Smackdown runs Boston. Raw TV is live Monday from Long Island with Pee-wee Herman as guest celebrity. Apparently Vince is a big fan and Pee-wee is promoting a new stage show on Broadway. Smackdown TV is taped Tuesday in Bridgeport, CT which is election night.

Smackdown tonight has Dolph Ziggler vs. Daniel Bryan in a non-title match; Kaval vs. Jack Swagger; Kelly Kelly, The Bella Twins & Melina vs. Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes & LayCool in Halloween costumes; Big Show & Kofi Kingston vs. Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre; Edge vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio in a three-way for a title shot at Survivor Series; plus a funeral led by Kane for The Undertaker.

WWE has resigned Sean Morley (Val Venis), according to indy promoters who have attempted to book him. The company is supposedly flying Morley to Europe on 11/7 to join up with the Raw crew. He may be coming in as an agent. Either that or Vince is doing a reincarnation of the Right To Censor gimmick except instead of going after the Parents Television Council, this time it's the Democrats.

The early word back on CM Punk's MRI is apparently not good. His hip injury may require surgery which would keep him out of the ring for several weeks. We should know more following television next week.

Adam Atherton who wrestled as Rudy Parker in developmental has quit. He said he was promised a raise, never got one, and when he couldn't make good on his student loan repayments felt he had to quit to find a better paid job to support his family. Atherton, 25, who has a master's degree, was signed to FCW by John Laurinaitis following an OVW camp in Louisville earlier this year where he previously wrestled under the name Asher Knight.

WWE is planning to hand out free merchandise near polling places on election day next week in Connecticut. Vince also had some T-shirts sent out to local media who have ripped on Linda and WWE in recent weeks.

The preliminary estimate for the 9/19 Night of Champions PPV is 169,000 buys worldwide. 101,000 of those buys were domestic.

As well as a King of the Ring tournament on 11/29 in Philadelphia, WWE is also advertising an "Old School" three hour Raw on 11/15 in Hershey and a Slammy Awards on 12/13 in New Orleans. Presumably "Old School" means they are bringing back names from the past or they could go crazy and present a pro wrestling show.

Wrestlemania 27 tickets go on sale on 11/13 with prices ranging from $25 to $1000. That's not a typo. $1,000 gets you ringside plus a commemorative seat.

Superstars last night did a 0.5 rating and 528,000 viewers. The replay did 163,000 viewers.

Kofi Kingston appears on Syfy's Ghost Hunters on Sunday night as part of a Halloween special.

The Bella Twins are hosting the Nickelback Pool Party at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on Saturday.

TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION WRESTLING

10/28 Impact TV results from Orlando, FL: Jay Lethal over Robbie E in a street fight; Sarita, Tara & Madison Rayne over The Beautiful People & Mickie James; Motor City Machineguns over Generation Me & Ink, Inc. in a three-way to retain the tag titles; AJ Styles & Douglas Williams over Rob Van Dam & Raven; and Jeff Jarrett over Matt Morgan in a chain match.

TNA ran last night in Sedalia, MO with Matt Morgan over Jeff Hardy in the main event. They also run tonight in Springfield and West Plains on Saturday.

Mickie James will be auctioned off tonight in Richmond, VA at Bailey's Pub & Grille to raise money for a local children's hospital. The winning bidder gets dinner with Mickie following the auction. Apparently she's doing this as a favor for a friend and is really nervous about the deal. I would be too considering her biggest fan was arrested a few months ago for threatening to blow up Titan Towers.

Former WWE Diva Serena Deeb has been contacted about coming in. She previously appeared at the 2008 Slammiversary PPV in Mississippi as a plant in Awesome Kong's Fan Challenge.

Impact last night did a 1.1 rating averaging almost 1.5 million viewers. The Knockouts match drew the highest rated quarter hour (1.29) while Team 3D challenging the Machine Guns drew the lowest quarter of the entire show.

Reaction did a 0.8 rating and 934,000 viewers.

Hulk Hogan posted a new Twitter promo at http://www.twitvid.com/ZFNGA. He talks about TNA getting "real evil" and actually laughs like Dr. Evil. He also says there is no room in the company for guys who don't drawn money.

Mick Foley will be attending the "Rally to Restore Sanity" in Washington, D.C. on Saturday afternoon which is hosted by Jon Stewart. Clips will air on Comedy Central from Noon until 3pm.
