----APP put their second Top 10 Grossing show in the books for 2006 with the show last night selling 485 tickets with an average of $8 a head with a gate of $3880. This puts Kenny Valiant’s group at #4 for his Legends show and #8 for this show knocking CWA’s 11.04.06 show to #9. This effort also pushed CCW’s Parsons, TN February show out of the top 10.

----Anton Leveigh vs Phoenix X – 10 min draw; Austin Lane [pic to right] vs Trent Shultz – no contest; Brandon Barbwire vs Baron Malkavain – no contest; Mad Dog Butch beat Lord Humongous; “The Hillbillies” [Giant Hillbilly/Pappy] with Uncle Felton by DQ over Psycho/Lord Humongous with Hollywood Jimmy and in the Main Event: Leveigh/Shultz/Barbwire beat Lane/Malkavain/Phoenix X.

----First time Lord Humongous and Psycho had teamed…I was told the main event stole the show and the fans loved it…There were over 500 people in the building with standing room only.

----103 in the crowd with 75 paid with a gate close to $450…Luchadore [not sure who is under the mask, but could they have come up with a better name??] spits green mist like Muta…Not sure the members of the team “Epidemic”…Hollywood has turned heel since my last MCW report…Gary The Medic subbed for White Lighting in the main, because Lighting was injured Friday night in Osceola…Hollywood/Tucker kept beating up Medic/Big Daddy after the match with local Luxora wrestler Herman “Tojo” Williams jumping in out of the crowd, but got beat down also. Hillbilly Nate finally made the save for them…No showed and advertised for the card were Derrick King, Tatt2 and Blackout Squad who all worked TLCW.

----Arkansas Title Match: Loose Cannon with Rottn Randy beat Masked Menace; Next Division Title Match: Big Indian by DQ over Idol Bane with Bate Masterson [Biscuit’s new gimmick]; Deadly Dale/Idol Bane with Bate beat Shakedown/Big Indian to win the Arkansas Tag Team Titles; Arkansas Title Match: Cannon with Randy beat Blakster and in the Main Event: Cody Daniels/Cujo by DQ over Bate Masterson/Loose Cannon.

----Crowd was at 85 paid with about 115 in the building with a gate around $575…Jamie Jay is done with the group after no-showing again…3 full boxes of can goods were collected for the Mission Outreach in Paragould…Good money made on concessions again…Big Cal had a previous engagement, so Big Buster had to do announcing…If Bate got pinned in the main event, then Cannon would have lost his belt…Deadly Dale/Bane/Arnez jumped Daniels/Cujo/Buster laying after the main event. Arnez wasn’t even booked on the show, but due to car problems could not work the APP show. So, he got to work this show closer to his home…A big thanks to all the fans – I am glad you stayed for the show, but sorry you had to watch three Loose Cannon bouts. LOL

----Battle Royal won by Virgil; Koko B Ware beat Tatt2; Jon Michael beat Derrick King with The Big Cheese; Buff Bagwell beat Flash Flanagan; Fire/Flame with The Big Cheese beat “Insane Clowns” [Bobo/Giggles]; Scott Steiner beat Virgil and in Main Event: Jake “the Snake” beat Alex Krisis [pic to the right].

----I usually don’t cover results from this far away from our area, but this showed feature tons of area workers. In other words, the gate not be included in the year end figures for this area…I have got three different attendance figures, but it looks like just over a 1000 people there with a gate close to $25,000 with an average ticket price of $25… Fire/Flame got a good push starting with the Battle Royal – they were about to throw Virgil out with Clowns help, but Virgil ended up throwing all four out. Steiner and Virgil brawled all over the place in their match and after the match Fire/Flame jumped Steiner. Bagwell made the save and challenged them for January 12^th, 2007 return…Jake used the DDT on Krisis to win…This was considered a TV tapings and I assume you will be able to watch it on their web site, as they have other stuff on it now.

----LSD beat Danny Morris; “Prime Time” Nick Grymes [pic to the right] beat Psycho;USWF Champion Neil Taylor beat NWA MS Champion Izzy Rotten in a Title Unification match by DQ so the titles stayed with the rightful champions and in the Main Event: Neil Taylor/Psycho/LSD beat “Prime Time” Nick Grymes/Danny Morris/Izzy Rotten w/ Leslie Jones when Psycho pinned Nick.

----There was no heat in the building, so they drew about 15 paid. Why have the show with no heat?? Well, there are a lot of shows that have no heat in this area. LOL Get it??...They should have done better with that big crowd from last week, but it was also cold. Gate was close to a whopping $75!!

----The usual mid 65 paid with around 80 in the building. Gate would be around $325…The roster here has got a little slim and looks like they lost Tim Alfonzo also. The crowd also has not improved since Mo took over as booker.

----Rockin Randy beat Tim Alfonzo; “Picture Perfect” [Jon Michael/Christian Jacobs] beat “Blackout Squad” [Oz/Bishop] in a short match; “The Golden Boy” Greg Anthony beat Shannon Lee with Goldilock [million dollar dream into Russian leg sweep into a crossface]; Bill Dundee/Kevin White beat “Naughty By Nature” [Rude/Pokerface]; Seth Knight beat Matt Foley with Tim Grind’s [pic to right] help; King/O’Neal vs Flash/Starr – heat on O’Neal – hot tag of DK, but Rockin Randy pulls him out – DK goes to back fighting with Tatt2 joining in – O’Neal gets beat down by both Flash/Starr and Grind makes save. Starr & O’Neal battle again for a pull apart at the end!!

----Crowd was 130 paid with 150 in the building with a gate of around $650…The “Five Starr Showcase” set up the main event. Starr had O’Neal’s bloody shirt from last week and said how eliminated O’Neal. Flash Flanagan came out and Starr told him he had done something that he was unable to do – eliminate O’Neal – Flash & Starr started shoving – O’Neal jumps in and gets the beatdown from Flash/Starr - Derrick King makes save and challenges them to the main event…Dundee/White tag had a neat finish – they did the “dose doe” with White hitting a crossbody out of it for the pin and Dundee doing a drop toe hold...I was told to look for Fire/Flame to be in here in the near future. Apparently they were booked on the show last night, but no word on why they didn’t show??...Apparently Seth Knight was originally booked to do the job for Foley, but felt it would hurt him. Dundee seem to not agree and gave Knight a bitching…Even though I have been enjoying the booking of these shows, I was scared they may “shoot their wad” too soon with so much going on. This show seem to slow down a bit with only 6 matches, but good continuing of the storylines.

Memphis Wrestling TV Report 12.09.06

----Show opens promising a segment from Jerry Lawler and Jimmy
Hart/Hulk Hogan.

----“Insane Clowns” [Giggles/Bobo] with Rashard beat Tatt2/Drew Donavon. Heat on Tatt2 with hot tag from Donavon. Bobo tried to use a cane, but ref Jerry Calhoun caught him. Calhoun’s head was turned, so Rashard hit Donavon with their bucket. Good opening match.

----Nate the Rat comes out with Fire/Flame, “Hillybilly” Assassin Jethro and “Cowboys” [Ricky Murdoch/Bill Nasty]. Nate tells “Cowboys” they have disappointed him. Fire/Flame/Jethro vs “Picture Perfect” [Jon Michael/Chris O’Neal]/K Hill ended in No Contest when Dustin Starr/Kevin White jumped in with chairs to go after Fire/Flame for burning Starr last week. “Cowboys” then run out to go after Fire/Flame. “Cowboys” have stare down with Fire/Flame, and then finally Maclin talks with White/Starr.

----“Opening the Vault” with Lance Russell. Bill Dundee is featured this week. Dundee vs Lawler with a kewl finish. Dundee is using a chain and after a ref bump, Lawler grabs the chain. He takes it away from Lawler and as Lawler turns around, Dundee hits him with brass knuckles for the win. Dundee video also airs, which had clips of Dundee vs Dutch Mantel in a scaffold match.

----Hulk and Brooke Hogan interview from today at Walmart in Southaven, MS. There was nothing mentioned of Hogan working the Coliseum show. Brooke came off real good. Hogan was challenging Lawler for a match saying how Lawler could come out of his home in Hendersonville, TN. Sorry Hogan, but that was the Jarretts. Hogan went right into character doing a promo, and then Hart showed up. It made Maclin/Memphis Wrestling look good. I don’t see Hogan being at the Coliseum show though.

----Dundee interview. He said he was going to bring one of PG13 in for the Coliseum show. Dundee beat by DQ Flash Flanagan after a ref bump and “Too Cool 2” [Tim Grind/Flex] jumped Dundee with Kevin White making save.

----Lawler vs Dream Machine classic match aired next for the Unified Title. This was just a brawl with both guys bleeding and lots of punches. There was tons of heat for the bout. Stips on the match was the only way someone would win is if the other person went back to the dressing room. [sort of “I Quit”] Lawler threw a fireball, which made Machine run to the back.

----Derrick King interview wearing a leather jacket and sunglasses with JR Title. A very good interview building for the return of Johnny Dotson. Dotson video interview aired next. It was also a good interview.

----“Too Cool 2” [Flex/Grind] interview. Grind did a good job here. Grind/Flex beat “The Posse” [Simon Reed/’Lil Chris]. Heat on Chris with a false hot tag to Reed. Ref Bill Rush made Reed go back to the corner as Flex/Grind did an awesome finisher on Chris. Flex put Chris on his shoulder as Grind came off the ropes grabbing Chris’ head for a RKO as Flex sit down in a driver. A good match and probably the best I have seen Chris so far.

RassleNotes: There was only about 30 left in the crowd for this second hour of tapings…Maclin was pushing the Coliseum show for December 30, 2006 but he would not confirm it…K Hill is Ramsey Cahill who is a Bill Dundee/Kevin White trainee. I assume Maclin did not understand him when he told him his name. LOL…OMG!! I have no idea why they put the “Cowboys” in on a feud for no reason!! Great heat for Fire/Flame vs Starr/White and then they mess the angle up by adding the “Cowboys”. Only good thing is that if they do the Coliseum show it will be a Triple Threat - Titles [Starr/White] vs Masks vs Loser Leaves Town with Fire/Flame winning belts and “Cowboys” leaving town…”Opening the Vault” was good this week. Some good clips involving Dundee…I have no idea why they aired Lawler vs Machine. I loved the bout though – wished they would show some current stars though…Dotson will make a good cocky babyface vs King…Not any great wrestling until the final match and old clips, but I enjoyed the show.

The Hogans At Walmart!!!

----Just got word that Hulk and Brooke Hogan had a big crowd today at Walmart in Cordova, TN for the autograph signing. I did not get an actual number. The gimmick was you had to buy the Brooke Hogan CD or the Hulk Hogan Anthology DVD to get an autograph. Jimmy Hart was there – as seen in the picture above. This is a little blurry, but it was taken with a cell phone. Corey Maclin arrived at the event after most of the crowd was there and got a big pop!! It will be interesting if anything comes out of this as in an angle or interview.

RassleBits: Vanity, TLCW Big Show, Gates, Hollywood and Axeman, Jumptertown, Top Grosses and Attention!!!

----Vanity, who I heard from earlier this week about the WEW PPV, also sent this along –“I had a really great time doing the pay per view. I worked my very first wrestling match at the old ECW arena, which was packed. I was nervous at first but Francine (ecw,wwe) gave me a pep talk and really helped me out a lot. Francine who was just a sweetheart. I got to meet a lot of great female wrestlers like Mercedes Martinez, April Hunter,Bobcat, Amy Lee, and many many more. A lot of other wrestlers like the Sandman (ecw) was there. Who is also a great guy and funny!! It was just an overall great experience!! I look forward to the next pay per view and I thank them for the opportunity. Athena is in the photo [by Brian Graddis] to the right. Why?? Because I think she looks really good in that suit. LOL

----TLCW is building for a big show on January 6, 2007 in Ripley, TN. They will be moving for that night to a bigger building to support more fans. I could not get many details, but I think booker Derrick King has lots of great things planned. I am looking for some of these things to finish feuds – TLC, cage and was even told to look for some kind of shoot/worked thing. It could be the first big show of 2007.

----Gate from Friday on the SUW show was a bit wrong. I was thinking $5 to let people in, but looks like they let everyone in for $1 or $2 because the whether was so bad. USWF is also getting 120 – 150 estimates from last Friday’s $1 show.

----My address and phone number was posted on Hollywood Jimmy’s board. I would like to personally thank Jimmy for removing it. I have no idea why something like that would be posted?? Most people can obtain that info by e-mailing me, but why would you post it on a message board. Speaking of Jimmy’s site, Axeman Speaks is hilarious this week with the meeting that Axeman had with Jimmy. Deathwish had some nice comments made towards yours truly also. LOL

----Jumpertown results are also posted in Axeman Speaks. Chris Rocker’s valet was Lawler’s ex-girlfriend Joanie. Rocker wrestled Neil Taylor that night. I was told that Joanie caused some problems in the back. “Cruzin’ 4 Pain” were on the show, but are not expected to return. Did not get the full story on that one??

----Tonight with APP/CWA I am expecting to have some changes to in the Top 10 grosses of the year. ASWF has a big show next weekend that might place them in the Top 10. If for some reason, Memphis Wrestling does get to do the Coliseum, I am expecting that will be the top grossing show of the year.

----Here is how this is going to work. I will be sending out e-mails to a committee of workers/promoters/writers from this area each week. They will be asked to nominate 5 candidates in each category. They can not nominate themselves. I will narrow it down to 3 candidates per category. Starting on January 1^st to midnight on January 10^th will be “10 TO VOTE” where all 14 categories – each with 3 candidates - will be presented on one page where everyone will be able to vote. January 14th will be considered the site’s SUPER SUNDAY as I will release all the winners along with a “Yearbook” of facts & figures of 2006 from this area. I will start my review of the year end awards with what I consider the 4 most important awards.

----This week I could not come up with a HIGH FIVE recipient. So every once in a while, instead of giving a HIGH FIVE, I am going to give a FUCK YOU!!

In the realm of wrestling the word honest is not used a lot. The whole business is based on façade, a trick or might we call it a “slight of the hand.” When looking on the message boards last week, I seen where someone was looking to buy or rent a ring. I had my thoughts on who it was, but then this week they were confirmed. My old friend and everyone’s buddy Steve Creasy. Creasy has opened a new website, which is one of many he has opened, to announce that in April, 2007, he will begin running shows under the CCW banner again. I will be the first to admit, CCW was no big deal to a lot of people. We never drew record crowds and we never had TV or anything. CCW meant something to me and the guys that started the promotion. Some of young guys that are the most talented in the local scene got their start or biggest early pushes with the promotion – Christian Jacobs, Psycho, Arnez, Jon Michael, Chris O’Neal, Stan Lee, Mark Justice, Rod Dent III and many more. I hope this is just one of Creasy’s brainless attempts at starting again, because I and all the other guys do not want to see him running CCW. So, this week I do not give a HIGH FIVE – all I got to say to Steve Creasy is….FUCK YOU!!

PREPERATION H: “Rumors circulating around the area for the last few days say that Steve Creasy is planning on bringing CCW back in the spring. Frankly, I hope that is not true. But they are getting paid. Now, alot of people may wanna work with me & some may not. But by god a column by Axeman, Tramel or anyone else isn’t gonna stop me from running shows. Am I the best promoter? NOPE Am I the worst? NOPE Will I ever cancel another show? If sales are not where I want them to be then yeah I will if I have too. Are you welcome at CCW events? The My Favorites section is videos that I have watched and picked for past or future weeks of RassleTube – I will be making comments of some of those also in the blog. You may take a look at all or none. LOL I will update visitors of the site every week here on the blog of new entries on the RassleTube page. Or, you may subscribe to the page and every time that I post a new video, you will get an e-mail. ----RassleChronicle covers the results of RAW/Nitro 10 years ago. This week is posted.I have also added a Herb Kunze Wrestling Tidbits column that was published at this time.

USWA: Contrasting fortunes when it came to house show attendance. The November 21st house show drew USWA’s all-time lowest ever crowd, of just 150 fans. The November 28th Thanksgiving show was an improvement, drawing 600 fans, for Jerry Lawler’s first match back as a babyface, teaming with Brian Christopher, and losing to PG-13, after Akeem Muhammad had interfered and hit Lawler with a chain…. Focus of the November 30th tv show was on the Memphis version of the Nation of Domination gimmick, which was kind of a spin off from the WWF version. The only connection between the two versions was that PG-13 were associated with both groups. The Memphis NOD was comprised of Akeem Muhammad (formerly known as ‘Big Black Dog’), Kareem Olajuwon (Reggie B. Fine under a new name) and Randy X (Randy Hales, doing an absurd Malcolm X gimmick). They claimed a major ‘superstar’ would join them next week, which Meltzer speculated might be Bill ‘Superstar’ Dundee………. With house show attendance so up and down (mostly down), USWA’s latest idea was to move their weekly shows to Wednesdays, which would allow Lawler to be booked once again. Business was very poor, and most wrestlers were only earning the minimum $40 per show (usually just one show a week), and had other jobs to carry them.

What a HORRIBLE way to bring ECW to PPV in my opinion. Although, while most say Lashley was not the ideal guy to put the strap on, let me put it to you in this light. The title is going to give Lashley his push. Guys like RVD and even CM Punk, do not need the title, but for Punk they need to do something with him soon because they cannot risk losing his overness. This is the time you bring in the TV Title to move along the lower tier wrestlers. With the Paul Heyman (shoot or work) angle, none the less he isn't there and I am sure in the upcoming weeks, you will be able to tell TV wise if he is giving his imput or not. Needless to say they didn't mention anything on the show last night, so take it for what it is worth which with it being WWE, I do not know if anyone really cares.

There is a rumor going round that the X-Division hates the way they are being used by Russo. Go figure, him and Vince M share two things in life....the way they feel about Lightweights, they either love em or hate em and it shows what state of mood they are in when you watch how they are used. Right now, I'm betting Russo is taking care of the Nash angle while someone else is taking care of the Daniels/Sabin feud. Although, turning Styles heel was a good gesture, his babyface run has long been over due for a change.

TNA, I think, does not realize the oppertunity they have in taking it to another level with WWE sinking so horribly. While somewhat entertaining, I believe if they stop with all the current WWE bashing and concentrate on their own product, they could prove they are worth 2 hours a week and start to build from there. Let's face it, the days they were running 2 hour PPVs was some of the best stuff they have done period.

Didn't watch RAW this week, for some reason I had a funny feeling in my stomach. After reading the results, I guess it proved to be right. RAW is so stale that people are watching Boogeyman on Smackdown. Talk about a swing in ratings there.

RassleBits: Big Rumor, Maclin Ratings, Flash, NWA Battlezone, Creasy, RAW, Vanity and Gates

----Big rumor the last few days is that the Mid-South Coliseum show on 12.30.06 will feature Doug Gilbert/Sid Vicious vs Jerry Lawler/Hulk Hogan. Not sure the truth of this, but if it isn’t Hogan, then look for it to be a major WWE star. Also, if it is going to be Hogan, then look for them to shoot an angle this coming weekend at the Walmart appearance.

----Corey Maclin told the boys Saturday at TV that the ratings for the last show was bad. The reason he felt they were bad was because they are not running house shows. As I have written in the past, Memphis Wrestling TV ratings do not = a good crowd. And, unlike in the past, Maclin will be running major shows on Saturday nights – same night as the show airs.

----Flash Flanagan worked for Tony Falk’s USWO last Friday night as he teamed with Matt Dillenger to beat Ruffhouse Jordan/Mark Anthony. Also a few other familiar names from the Memphis area were in the main event as Matt Korbaine/Chase Stevens/Arrick Andrews beat Shawn Shultz/Chris Michaels/Michael Jabolonski with Quinton Quarisma. Well, hell, Chris Michaels was on TV teaming with Chris O’Neal Saturday – that is what Corey Maclin said anyway.

----NWA Battlezone news from 12.02.06 in Magee, MS had some local guys working also. Cassanova Kidd beat Kross and “Prime Time” Nick Grymes in a triple threat elimination match; Bonecrusher beat Rick Morgan and Izzy Rotten vs Jesse Dalton had a dog collar chain match for the NWA MS Championship in which Rotten retained the belt. I was told the crowd was loud and rowdy. Also the main event was bloody with Izzy ending it wrapping the chain around a chair and giving Jesse a DVD onto it.

----Steve Creasy is at it again. He is promising an April return date for CCW. Did he not promise me he was not using that name again?? Hey, Steve, you are a liar!!!! But, I am not – if you plan to promote as CCW I will cover your shows, but I will call it as I promised – “So from this point on the old promotion is dead and in my mind and the mind of my readers your promotion will be called SSAWP – “Steve ‘s Stupid Ass Wrestling Promotion”.”

----I did watch the HHH/Michaels/Hardys vs MNM/Edge/Orton 8-man tag. It has been months since I have actually watched anything on RAW. I enjoyed it as I like all 8 guys, but Michaels looks old and hardly does anything anymore. He also looks funny with no hair on his chest. I like Kenny Doane too, but they can kill him how many times??

----Vanity sent me results and link from the WEW PPV she worked this past weekend in Philly. Vanity was featured in the first HIGH FIVE. The site said the following about her match, “This was followed by a “Devil’s Advocate” Match: Vanity The Duchess Of Desire" with Lucy Furr against the former Thai “Killer” Weed, now T.H.A.I. (Teaching His Almighty Influence). The highlight of this match was when Lucy Furr got on the ring apron with THAI’s Bible, shrieking, “I stole your Bible! I stole your Bible!” She then played “Keep Away” with THAI until Vanity went to hit THAI with her mirror. THAI ducked and pinned Vanity after hitting her with what must have been the “Clothesline from Heaven.” " Click the link above for all the results and pics.

----I also talked with KC Gold about the MAW attendance. 120 to 150 were at the show, but only about 50 paid. It seems they got to many people getting in for free. Gold said he is going try to get a handle on that. I was also told 100 at the TIWF show last Friday night?? Anybody else at that show?? Good for them with close to a $500 gate.

----Paid crowd was around 50 with a gate of around $500 and there were at times around 100 people in the building. A lot of freebies and hate that for this crew. I was wishing 200+ for Raven…They ran an angle most of the night with KC Gold and Antoin Smooth. The Crime and Jason Skyler accepted Gold’s offer to be with TFO [The front office] & MAW. After that Smooth jumped Gold with a chair. After the tag team title match, K.C. Gold comes out and attacks Smooth with punches and clotheslines, and one of the TFO girls executes a running double handspring low kick. Smooth is then beaten with a boot by Morton, and gets spanked with a belt by Morton. KC stated he will wrestle Smooth on the next show… During the Diamond/Crime bout a table did not break on the first try, but as Diamond stood to his feet on the table, he was caught with a Diamond Cutter from the top rope by Crime, putting both men through the table. Heatwave, Inc (Blalok and Big Ace) ran into the ring and attacked Crime, and Reno locked in the Crossface. Smooth immediately called for the bell, and TCW VP Scotty C announced Reno as the winner.Reno says that the surprise is the arrival of Heatwave, Inc in TCW, and says to either "like us, love us, or fuck you all!"… Big Country came out and said that he issued the challenge to Raven but he has been too scared to face him. A few months back, he sent Rick Steiner to take his place, and Steiner got pinned. Country calls the ref out and says that even though they were supposed to meet later in the main event, he knows Raven won't show up and wants his hand raised. The lights go out, and Raven appears at ringside. The crowd breaks out into a "TNA" chant, but Raven says that the only "T&A" are Big Country's man-boobs. Country tries to attack Raven, but gets beat across the head with the mic. Most of the action took place outside the ring, and saw use of chairs, trash can lids, cookie sheets, a cheese grater, a skillet, fluorescent light bulbs, and various weapons from the crowd, including a cane and a broomstick. Near the end of the match, Raven was whipped into a trash can placed between the top and middle ropes, and the resulting collision tore the middle rope off the ring post! Country took advantage and used the rope to strangle Raven, but Raven was able to escape and executed a drop toe-hold to a chair in the middle of the ring. After another chairshot, Raven finished the match with an Evenflow DDT into the chair.After the match, Raven thanked the Memphis fans, as well as "MAW, CIA, FBI, ABC, your mom's phone number, whatever." He says that he started his career in Memphis, and now works for Jarrett, who also started in Memphis, so the city has been wonderful to him, and he plans to come back sometime. He ended with "Quote the Raven, nevermore."…During the Lexx/Big Ace bout, Lexx was smashed across the back with four strapped fluorescent light bulbs, causing blood to pour down his back for the rest of the match. Check out these pics!! As the show came to a close, a package was placed at the announce table for the Front Office. Since no one from TFO was available, Scotty opened the package. Inside were four pink flowers and a red rose. Ok that got me to wondering WTF?? LOL

The Ratings Are In!!!

----Memphis Wrestling this week scored a 3.5 [57,762 viewers], which is about an average number for the crew. Jerry Lawler was not there for a live match, so his streak was not alive, but the first quarter he was feature in dropped 12,152 viewers.

----The first quarter scored a 3.6 [60,425 viewers] with Cobra angle being attacked by Jethro and ended in the middle of the 6 man tag with O’Neal still in the heat. Second quarter started with the finish of the 6 man, the Southern tag team title match and ended during the Derrick King interview. That quarter scored a 3.8 [62,922 viewers] jumping 2,497 viewers. The third quarter scored 3.1 [50,770 viewers] dropping 12,152 viewers for the King vs Reed match, Maclin/Hart telephone interview and Idol/Lawler vs Panthers match. The show finished with Lawler vs Von Erich, Flex/Grind beating up Dundee and the Cobra vs Jethro bout. [photo to the left]That last quarter finished with a 3.4 [56,763 viewers] up 5,993 viewers. They only lost 3662 overall viewers from start to finish.

----I would have never thought that Cobra vs Jethro would have kept the viewers interested, but it did. I had been told by others that the 4^th quarter was dropping and it really had nothing to do with Lawler, but this is proof. The viewers actually went up almost 6,000 viewers to see the main. As mentioned Lawler was in the biggest dropping quarter [3^rd quarter] anyway along with “Opening the Vault” segment, but the second part did jump up.

----Kross beat Keylo Green; Izzy Rotten/”Prime Time” Nick Grymes beat Psycho[pic to the right]/Bubba Boodrow;Buzz Harley beat Little Steve Davis;Keith Haynes Jr/ Keith Haynes Sr/Dana beat Danny Morris/”Concrete Cowboy”Johnnie Reno/ Heather and in the Main Event: Neil Taylor beat Tysin Starr to retain the USWF Championship - after the match Tysin Starr/Izzy Rotten jumped Neil Taylor.

----Crowd was the biggest in USWF history. There were over 100 people there with a special “Fan’s Appreciation Night” with tickets only $1, so gate was around $100. I was told that total concession plus gate was more than they having been bringing in. It will be interesting whether this will help the crowd next week.
