----Memphis Wrestling finishes with a great rating and an average rating with two of the worst shows they produced this year. The 12.23.06 finish overall with a 4.1 [68,249 viewers] and this past Saturday’s show did a 3.5 [57,928 viewers]
----The 12.23.06 show opened with a 3.4 [56,263 viewers] for interviews and then they 3 tag team match. The 2cnd quarter started with them show the Brick angle on White, Starr/White vs R&R Express and ending with the DK interview. That quarter jumped 12,818 viewers scoring 4.2 [69081 viewers]. The next quarter pretty much stayed at 4.2 [69,414 viewers] jumping 333 viewers for DK vs Donovan match with Dotson angle, Koko interview and Lawler interview. The 4th then finished big with 6 man tag and Lawler/Nunnery singing with Nate angle. This quarter jumped 8, 989 viewers scoring a 4.7 [78,403 viewers]. The show ended with 22,140 more viewers than when it started.
----The 4.1 rating surprised me going into it, because of the 2.3 rating from the 12.16.06 show. The only good thing on the whole show was the Fire/Flame/Jethro vs PP/Tatt2 bout and that was seen by 78,403 viewers!! The ratings were a total upward climb from start to finish with no negative jump and that big 22,140 viewers for the last quarter. All in all the crew should be very happy with this rating.
----The show 12.30.06 opened with a 3.7 [62,090 viewers] for the Jackie Fargo interview, Maclin saying “kayfabe” and ended in the middle of the Kaufman/Hart interview. 10,654 viewers turned off the show after that quarter. The second quarter scored a 3.1 [51,436 viewers] with rest of the Kaufman/Hart interview, Lawler interview from home and Maclin playing pool with his kids. The next quarter went up to 3.5 [58,927 viewers] adding 7,491 viewers with Lawler vs Hogan and the Maclin/Koko clips. The 4th started with more Maclin/Koko clips, more old clips and Corey finishes up with DVD plug. That quarter finished with a 3.6 [59,093 viewers] adding 166 more viewers. The show ended with 2997 less viewers than turned on the show.
----This rating was pretty much average. It was funny to see 10,654 viewers turn off the show after watching Jackie Fargo and the start of the Kaufman/Hart angle. When you promote something as “Best of 2006”, you do not throw a bunch of 80’s stuff on the show unless it is Lawler vs Hogan, which jumped 7,491 viewers even though it has been shown a million times. There were only 2997 viewers that lost interest from start to finish, which is not bad.
----I will take a look at the full year in ratings with best show, worst show, night time ratings and much more to be posted in “Yearbook 2006 – Fact & Figures”.
